Added Analysis Plus Solo Crystal Oval Interconnects and Solo Crystal Oval 8 Speaker Cables, the IC's raised the bar a bit, and the Oval 8's raised it even higher...the icing on the cake.....very happy camper here... but if I was to start again knowing the little that I do I would buy TOTL IC's and cables and then work a system around them

Exactly. I have said this multiple times. Power, and cables, are the foundation of a good stereo. Get the best cables available, and all your gear will work at its best.

In all seriousness I'm running Polk SDA 2.3tls. All mods have been done and they are all broke in. They image so well they will more than likely be my forever speakers.
Crossover is all Sonicaps, all new inductors that are all matched to about 2% in value and all internal wire is DH Labs 14ga ohno cast silver plated copper. New binding post plates with cardas silver and gold binding posts. As well as the 1000va dreadnought or this beast of an amp would be a no go. -
Took it out of boxes most of it 2 channel could be up and running tonight can't wait to see what it does in the new room.

Boston Acoustics CR65s. I’m surprised by the tech built into these speakers, especially for the era and price-point.
Wave guide tweeters, true detached/stationary phase plugs. Can be hung on walls with keyhole or brackets w/standoffs. These are highly functional little speakers, and they sound good to boot!

This is a little system I put together for some “breezeway” listening. It consists of a 10wpc tube amp,a Prometheus TVC pre,a Bluesound Node,and a pair of Def Tech sm350’s. It isn’t my listening room system,however, it serves its purpose.
Ok,so this is starting to get a little out of hand. Since setting this system up,I’ve taken the passive pre out,and added an older Aric Audio tube pre that I had in the closet. I put in a pair of ZU Libtecs , and lastly plugged in the Graham Chartwell LS3/5’s from my main system. I think it sounds pretty good.

Well, today I changed out the jewel cases of all worn, cracked and broken CD cases. I bought a box of 50 clear jewel cases and went through about 500 CD's. Right now, I have 3 left with 200 more to go.
It's nice to see CD cases that I have traveled with, dropped, scuffed up or bought brought back to their original condition. No more CD's falling out because the tabs are broken. No more cracked or broken cases and CD's that I have had for 4 decades look new again....well, at least the CD cases do.
I have also spent many an hour both yesterday and today dialing in the subs again to hopefully achieve an even better sound. I took a photo of the original settings if I don't like what I hear but it's fun to tinker around to see how the adjustments on the Rythmik F-25's change things with the sound stage, imaging, texture, ponderance, authority, you name it...
So many adjustments to choose from and these can take a world class rig either down to sound like **** or a wonderful reproductive effort worthy of the best of systems out there.
As I was going through each CD on the wall, I discovered albums that should have been in rotation but really have not and for years. It's cool to rediscover bands and songs that were long forgotten.

If you are a beginner at soldering find some youtube videos on soldering. It helped me a ton. Good luck man.

True. I will not argue that. I was also 3 sheets into the wind on tequila when the test went down.
With that said, I have passed tests that defy 10 fold detecting things that "were not possible" with as many as 29 people in a room to witness. I have heard deficiencies in speakers while simply walking through a room that within minutes from failing, I pointed out and people in the room laughed....until the speaker failed minutes later.
Whether that is a testament to your gear, unfamiliar gear to me, a system that isn't as revealing as what I may be used too or the fact that I am getting older? Who's to say.
Yours is one of the best network players I have heard to date, even surpassing some that I have heard in high end shops but, your system is also different from the rigs in said shops too. I have to keep that in mind.
All I know is that on my system with my gear and in my room? Physical media exceeds all and the difference is very noticeable. Plus, I do like reading the liner notes and I do not EVER have to worry about technological glitches that wipe out all of my media or not being able to find something online because I actually have what I want at a moments notice.
Perhaps I am old school and simply prefer physically "owning" what I listen too and not having to deal with logging in or subscribing to hear what I have purchased. I am not part of the convenience crowd and don't think I ever will be.
