Hooked up a rasberry pi running ropieee to my stereo, and signed up for roon/tidal free trials. Sounds great!
The turntable was my only source before.
Still waiting for the case to come in the mail.

Sweet! Btw qobuz is $5 cheaper and sounds better than tidal and their catalog size is quickly catching up...

I also use Qobuz. Mostly for flac downloads but like it a lot.

I’ve been using Qobuz as well, sounds excellent but I need to invest in a better streamer as my chromecast audio doesn’t always play well with it.

I download from my desktop pc to a usb 3.0 thumb drive and plug that into my Yamaha HTR. Sounds better than any of my CDs.

I upgraded my Twisted Pear Buffalo III 9028 Pro to a TP BIII 9038 Pro board. The 9038’s analog output section is duplicated 4 times and connected in parallel. Sounds just a bit better with more torque or punch and resolution.

I upgraded my Signature Sonore music servers front USB output from 2.0 to 3.0.
Now I don’t have to connect external drive behind it for incremental backups. The MB had a USB 3.0 header so why not.

I tried upgrading from Vortexbox 2.4 to 2.5 beta with no luck. Fortunately, I disconnected the music drive and used a new SSD half card for the op system upgrade. I just put the old 2.4 op system SSD drive card back in and reconnected the music drive to be back in business.

The power supplies for the board and SOtM USB 3.0 card are in another chassis. Power pass through on the SOtM card powers the hard drive which has a SOtM SATA power filter.

The CMOS battery was dead so that was replaced. I cut out the old battery and zip tied a new 2032 battery in until the proper new one arrives. It has a short harness connection, wrapped in shrink.

Looks like top-shelf material to me RIch! You always do such great work :)

I am doing the same thing as Ryan is doing. Putting the system back together after having some work done in the basement due to a dishwasher leak.

These came in today. That's a standard size envelope they are on for size comp.
So the little tubes are not for liquid. They only go in a little. Maybe there to aid with mounting?

I sure hope it sounds as good as it's going to look.

I placed another order Saturday for 2 more caps and 2 Path Audio resistors.

I'm pretty stoked about this new-to-me Basis Audio 1400 turntable with a Rega RB900 tonearm. The chassis and platter are clear acrylic, so looking forward to hearing what this has to offer.

This will be my first tt with an off-board motor.

This looks really cool! I haven’t heard of this company before, but that looks like some solid design philosophies.

    Thanks guys!
Basis Audio is a German company that prides itself on tight tolerances. This 1400 tt is entry-level for them, but I was curious, and figured the RB900 arm alone was worth something.

I thought Basis is an American company. Their website is not too clear, but indicates a New Hampshire address, which I suppose could be the distributor. Founder A. J. Conti was a very well regarded designer-builder. Nice looking tt.

The guy I bought my Aragon amp from had this TT. He said it was the only one of its kind. I cannot say it is for fact. It didn't have any name on it I could find.

Ivan, Do you know the maker/brand of the black cabinet? Vented, locking... looks nice. The LED's inside were probably added by the owner.

PT2: The tone arm on that table looks like a Rega - suggestive of the TT’s SQ.

Very long story: Rega tone arms are some of, if not the industry’s most under rated arms. Real pain in the rear echelon to set up but worth the trouble because their “set and forget” nature. Near Lambo sound performance at just above Fiat 500 prices.

    Enjoy! Tony

Installed a new to me PS Audio power regenerator. Nice improvement in sound: vocal clarity, bass volume and definition - could probably do without the subwoofer at this point. My SDA-CRS+ have never sounded better. Everything I've done to clean up my power supply has really paid off. Huge thanks for guidance go to @DarqueKnight - you're the man, Ray!
