    Good stuff, I like the I2s Upgrade Card option, as I have a PS Audio DAC. This would allow a successful transfer of SACD from my 203 to the DAC, similar to the PS Audio Combo.

    I saw that too and then said my god you can do $2K in upgrades to your 203..

    The I2S is very intriguing...as are the linear power options. I ordered the I2S and a PSAudio Stellar GCD.

    Agreed, there is a "get around" solution now to pass the SACD content from the 203 to the PSA DAC, the Upgrades offered here look to be a much "easier" path for the Tech Challenged, such as myself ;)

    I contacted the dude and he configures it specifically for the PS Audio I2S

    You would want to make sure it is the same protocol. Like XLR there are different configurations for i2s

    My results were outstanding, in both picture quality improvements and sound quality improvements. I'll let the new power supply run in for a couple of weeks before I post my full review.

    Installation was easy.

    My immediate results were:

    1. Brighter, clearer, more detailed picture, with better color rendition.
    2. Sound was apparently much louder, due to the significantly lowered noise floor. I actually had to turn the volume of my home theater pre-pro down 4 dB.
    3. More tactile sensation.
    4. Sound stage size didn't change, but image weight increased significantly.
    5. I notice more small details, both with video and audio.

    The scene was filmed in a white room with blueish lighting from a large, expansive picture window. For those unfamiliar with "Alien Covenant", the movie begins with a closeup of the android David's eye as he is sitting in a chair looking at the picture window and describing what he sees.

    The noise content caused an overemphasis of blue, as well as a loss of fine detail and brightness. A significant reduction in noise brought the picture into better color balance.

    I'm trying to resist replacing the power supplies in the UDP-203s in my home office and master bedroom...because it would be way overkill. I find myself craving the same increased depth, detail, and color "pop" that I see on the home theater TV.

    I had not seen this thread until today, but I have to say that photograph of the still of the eye is insane. I'm not of a videophile at all, but seeing it like that really tells the story of what a power supply can do. I wish more things in audio could be shown with that type of immediate and obvious comparison via the internet.
