That started approximately the moment OPPO announced that they were gettin' out of the hardware business, as I recall. :|

I’m surprised no one has moved into the space vacated by Oppo yet. Although maybe I should not be - commentary on the state of physical media?

I wonder if anyone tried to buy the DVD player design, and parts used from Oppo. Then they could build an equal, or bettor, player.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

Evidently not yet anyway, I just sold an OPPO UDP-203 for $1215.00.

Yes they both did (especially Pioneer) and both oppomod and clones have upgrades for those players.

Probably (mostly) the latter, I would reckon
    .
What exactly was OPPO's space? My initial impression of OPPO was high-value, high-ish performance digital media players... but they quickly became not inexpensive, and then they were just gone.

I think they were a very good value at their price point and would have paid more for the quality that they delivered.

    Their CS was V.Good also.

I just think they saw the market drying up and couldn't foresee profitability.

    Man this Corona Virus!
I can understand now why the various stock markets are sinking like they're in quicksand.
The BD-ROM stabilizer from Oppomod is coming from Korea and it FINALLY has made it to these shores in New York according to the tracking information and I'm just waiting for it to make it down the coast to DC.
The power supply upgrade from Clones Audio was supposed to be coming from China, but he had to have it made in Taiwan instead (or at least part of it maybe as I did not fully understand his e-mail that was not translated very well) So anyway that will be another four weeks he told me.

    Ooooooookay
The Oppomod BD-ROM stabilizer tracking showed it out for delivery and then later that day when the postal carrier arrives, she doesn't have it. Then the tracking shows it being sent back to Korea?!?!?!?!?!?!
The seller has it now and is waiting for a good time to ship it back to me because of Covid-19.
The power supply just arrived from Clones audio in China today.
I'm about to bleach spray it down and open it up.

    Okay lady and gentlemens ;)
I am going to attempt to PRETEND I am even HALF the expert reviewer that @DarqueKnight is and install this sucker and give you all some before and after impressions.
Right now I am trying to decide how I can or even should go ahead and do this as part of my upgrade is back in Korea!
Should I wait until the BD-ROM stabilizer FINALLY actually gets delivered and do this all at once?
Or should I just put this in and then do this all over again once it it arrives?
It is NOT a quick or easy proposition trying to pull that somebitch out of the rack. As I have not only an HDMI cable, but a stereo pair of XLR's AND all of the analog audio outs going to my preamp. Nevermind the network cable and huge upgraded power cord.
I would take a pic of the spaghetti nightmare behind my rack, but I don't want to cause this thread to derail :#;):D
