The last two above you can see an obvious shift in the color blue.

Man... I don’t know. Are you certain everything went back together properly?

Overall the picture is definitely sharper to my eye. Again the camera may not be able to pick up the difference.
The bass is much better and the dialog is clearer. This is having only been on for less than an hour.

How does it compare to your Pioneer LDP?

The before and after pictures are pretty good. Looks like the upgrade is worthwhile. Now you need to watch a ton of new movies and enjoy it.

    1. Thank god there was no soldering :D

    2. Will the old cover not fit over the new power supply? that is what that cover was for correct?

Yes it was. Again watch the video a few pages back. They say you can either put it back in place or not and leave it up to you. As you can see in the video they are using a different transformer than the one they use now.

My apologies if I missed this, but did you upgrade the power cord. Your before/after pictures remind me of what happened when I upgraded to a Shunyata power cord on my Oppo 203. If not then a better power cord should really elevate your setup.

I upgraded the power cord even before I got this unit. I just moved it to this one when I replaced the Oppo 103 with this one.

I can see a difference between what I am seeing with the naked eye and after I take the pic. These pics do not do justice to what is on the screen. Hence the reason why you cannot see too much of a difference here.

Put this on repeat and burn her in overnight. I guess about a week of constant play ought to do it.
