I'm going in a new direction with streaming. I sold my ELAC Discovery Music Streamer to fund the purchase of a Bluesound Node 2i.

The Bluesound Node 2i arrived today (haven't hooked it up yet).

Interesting warning label on the front of the box:

Am I missing something? Does streaming through the Node 2i not apply to music? Is this a beverage dispenser??

Yeah we now have to put a similar label on all vehicles destined for CA. Crazy, IMO.

You might want to make your main connection to the mids/tweet posts, and jumper "down" to the woofers. Just a little tweak that can sometimes make a difference if your jumpers aren't as good as your main cables...

We do have the fifth largest economy in the world.

"If the state –with its 39.5 million people – was an independent country, it would have the fifth largest economy in the world, according to new federal figured released on Friday – just surpassing the United Kingdom, which has a population of 65.6 million."

Of course, none of this has anything to do with what anyone did with their stereo last night. :)

I do not know if you looked at Axpona Joe, many rooms were diagonal. Red on lower post, black on upper or vice versa. Now it can be like splitting hair but some feel it works. I hook mine just like yours. I've tried it both ways no difference but lower takes some of the strain off the posts

Since both his cables are Acoustic Zen might be a close call Steve.

Ivan/Steve I feel like the Elacs have more tonality with this type of connection. They are just ever so slightly rolled off at the top vs setting as Steve suggested. For the distance I sit from the towers, this works best for me. And yes they are (or at least should be) exactly the same as the speaker wire. AZ Satori’s
They seem to allow a smoother transient is the main change I heard. Smoother at higher volumes.

The feet on the SVS was also a noticeable change. Much tighter and cleaner (less boomy) bass. Better integration into 2.1ch listening.

I replaced my Rotel transport with my Marantz. The silver face stuck out too much in the sea of black. I ended with cleaner looks and cleaner sound.

Did you notice any changes with the aftermarket power cords?

Right off the bat they are warmer. Seemed very dark at first listen but have livened up a bit. I was a bit worried at first but its coming around now. Not much else to write about at the moment. I’m attesting all the change to the power cords as I don’t think the Ethernet interconnect between the speakers is gonna matter much. The one that came with the KEFS seems to be a run of the mill cat6 cable.

Actually bass seems noticeable tighter too. Really getting some impact out of these KEFS now

Is there still a digital/streaming component to this setup, or are you strictly vinyl now?
