If you ever want to make some money, I need 2 speaker bases from granite, about 10" x 15" each, no feet. Name your price....

All of that (AQ 1000, AQ Thunder, Linn LK240s) were traded towards this so I didn't have to pay the full $4k price out of pocket

So, I did the granite because we have a shop but for shipping or supplying products its such a barrier to entry with the weight. I did it because it cost me nothing.

On a side note, I am doing some research right now on some metal fabrication. I saw what some of these stands and racks can go for ( @dskip s room) and my best friend runs a full service metal fabrication factory. I am going to draw up some ideas and bounce them around here to get some feedback and see if there's some traction.

Hey Joe. Check out the Star Sound website and look at their products. They aren’t unreasonably priced for the smaller platforms and there is much more to it than what you see.
  • VR3VR3 Posts: 23,452
Local granite shop would probably charge around $30 sq ft to cut some slabs to your specs. FWIW, as Joe mentioned - granite is very heavy

Got these Cullen Gold power cables in for my LS50W set. Won’t be installing until Tuesday. Quality seems pretty good

I ordered some for my Tritons but there is a 2-3 week lead time. What model did you get? They suggested I order the Gold Classic.

Agree! Especially with Blanton's single barrel being my personal favorite "daily driver" and since I can't find any more local bottles of Barterhouse (Orphan Barrel series) 20yo, it has been a very Blanton-y year so far.
