    Have you heard the Signal Ultra cables, DK? They really are pretty sweet. I haven't tried a great deal of cables in my rig, but they are definately a step up from the Canare. H9 had some MIT's at our last get together but we never worked them into my rig.

    I haven't tried, or heard, any of the Signal speaker cables. I currently use Signal power cables and Analog II interconnects in my HT. I also used Signal Silver Resolution XLR interconnects in my two channel system prior to upgrading to Audioquest Sky.

    There was reference in some other thread about other forums "talking" about Polkies and the aura of the sheep stuff. That may have something to do with it.

    After reading that some members had actually posted complaints against me the following.
    I came to this forum site as a owner of Polk speakers in my HT setup.From the beginning it was obvious that a certain"pack mentality" rules here.I can name most of this pack but in the interests of the forum I'm not even going to go there.In this thread the heading is '' speaker cable fact or myth".I responded by stating that there are alternatives to expensive cable by making your own with cat 5 or a combo of cat 5 and thick gauge multi thread.This statement was met with a barrage of insults , name calling and general slander mostly directed at me directly.At one stage I was so frustrated that I threatened to phone Polk head office.After some careful thought I decided not too as this was not in the interests of this forum.This pack of individuals wait till I appear the pm each other and the next thing the insults start flying here.If you scroll back I have been called names and insulted more than 30 times in this thread alone! Furthermore I am not alone as many members have pm'd and emailed me with the same complaint privately!Never have I reported anyone! THANK GOODNESS FOR THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE HERE WITH A FOND SPIRIT FOR HEALTHY DEBATE. I FOR ONE WILL NEVER JOIN THE PACK MENTALITY!

    Ok I will own up.
    My entrance was a little brash to say the least.I didn't realize this forum had such a strong tradition with regards to newbies etc.Was actually stirring the pot to get some healthy debate going.But come on guys, some of the name calling is not in good spirit.And as far as playing the victim not true.I 'm a big boy and can handle myself.Was just stating the fact.

    A little brash? If you had said that cables matter, but you can get there for
    a lot less with a cat 5 DIY, we could accept that. But no, crap in the middle of
    dance hall floor and expect a warm greeting? I've looked at using cat 5
    before, but found another cost effective(heavily discounted) cable.
    There's healthy debate, and then there's not so healthy debate.
    Like the "all properly designed amps should sound the same" guy.
    What amps was he listening to? Make your point and move on.

    Keiko, being able to watch sunset over Waikiki beach sipping Mai Tai everyday should allow you to ignore everything else...:)

    I used to sit across that tiny cafe at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, across from the pool, overlooking the beach, enjoying the band till the sun set. What a life!

    I went back to that spot in 2007, was there in 2001, and 2006. In 2001, I lived in for 6 months at the Hilton and it was the highlight of my traveling, life seems a lot simpler back then (before 911).
