A little brash? If you had said that cables matter, but you can get there for
a lot less with a cat 5 DIY, we could accept that. But no, crap in the middle of
dance hall floor and expect a warm greeting? I've looked at using cat 5
before, but found another cost effective(heavily discounted) cable.
There's healthy debate, and then there's not so healthy debate.

What amps was he listening to? Make your point and move on.
I'm sure most of us thought you were one of those "banned" guys

Using $1000 power cords in a home with expensive electronics is still a waste of money. That is the point that the rational have tried to make. Seafire hit it on the head with the pack mentality on here. It is unfortunate and I would expect better.

Darqueknight does in fact make extremely eloquent arguments and is mostly rational in his comments (although he does make some unfounded assumptions, as we all sometimes do). The others typically chime with excessive rudeness and crudeness that doesn't contribute at all and causes the discussion to deteriorate. Enough said. Thank me.

Or ignore you. I won't be buying any $1k cords. But that doesn't
mean I don't think it wil make a difference. Just not a good sense buy
in my sytems. You and Seafire maybe could also scoot down to the
Porsche dealership and save countless people from wasting their money.

Keiko, being able to watch sunset over Waikiki beach sipping Mai Tai everyday should allow you to ignore everything else...:)

I used to sit across that tiny cafe at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, across from the pool, overlooking the beach, enjoying the band till the sun set. What a life!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I went back to that spot in 2007, was there in 2001, and 2006. In 2001, I lived in for 6 months at the Hilton and it was the highlight of my traveling, life seems a lot simpler back then (before 911).

I'll hold on to your promise, hopefully sooner.

They are in fact the BIG and ONLY problem in this thread! Take away all the bullying, irrelevant comments and insults and this thread might actually be of some use. The problem, this is Polk's forum and those people are actually Polk's customer and it might be hard for Polk to actually sanction the bull that is going around!

If you don't know what I'm referring too, go back and review the entire thread again.
The question is then simple; Why do you even bother participating in this discussion???? Matter of fact, if one reviews the entire thread they'll find the negative comes from the exact same people he is talking about. A discussion is about to share views and agree to disagree, NOT an attitude of "MY WAY or NO WAY" which has been displayed by the so called pack!!

    Rationalization is no justification.

True it doesn't.But just how much of this slander, insults and pack mentality do you think anyone can take?
If you take the time to read my posts carefully you will notice that I never said that cables make no difference.I did however state that in my opinion at a certain level the differences become to small to justify the expenditure.I then offered a alternative in cat 5 and even gave some people advice on how to go about with utilizing this.Has it ever occurred to you that some people on this forum may not be in the financial position to afford hi end cables? Then there are those that like tinkering. This forum is here for all to converse and share info and different attitudes. Not to shoot people down with a barrage of insults!I am really tired of repeating myself and if you and others cannot see our point too well then what can I say
