I had my hearing checked less than a year ago after I had a staph infection that had entered into my ear canal from my mouth. Results were above normal.

Thanks for your interest in my hearing health.

I can still hear a dog whistle, can you?

Blow it out your hind end. You know exactly what you are doing. You just joined, and most of your almost 200 posts are here in a cable thread:rolleyes: Guys he is just playing with you. Ignore the instigator. I wouldn't be surprised if he was bait for some red letters, or a blast from the past visiting from another IP. Again ignore him, and he will go away.

. . . If you are interested or anybody else for that matter I can give you some interesting designs with cat 5. Easy to make and cheap and then all can draw their own conclusions. So whoever is interested let me know ..pm or email if you like . . .

    Just post the designs.

I have another design which I found worked very well but is a pain in the butt. This involves stripping the whole cable ... straightening all the twisted pairs and only winding three turns per foot or 1 turn every 10cm.Very painstaking I might add. This was out and out the best sounding but again in percentage maybe a 1-2 % improvement. I am the lazy type and would rather find that somewhere else.Another interesting combination is HQ 4mm OFC stranded copper on the lows and twisted pair cat 5 on the highs. This seemed to work well with woofers 12' and up;)

Hmmm, maybe there is a reason to pay up for decent cables for those of us who want that extra % gain. I guess you realize there is a high value to all of those hours and hours of labor that come into play with a specific design?

Hello Ben.The difference is I have no hidden agenda I am not selling speaker cable or interconnects like yourself on the forum!I have shared all my theories with the forum including the cat 5 cables.I just phoned Polk and they seem to be closed.I seem to have the time wrong for Maryland but we will see What the outcome of this whole issue is.The same with the whole Sunfire debacle a lot of rude slandering of which you were part of.Believe me I am not going to go away. You people are rude and obnoxious and I think Polk audio needs to take a rethink on putting their name behind something a s ridiculous as this
    kind regards
will be seeing you again Seafire;)

Getting ready to put my MIT CVT Terminator 1 I/C's in the mix. Right now I'm running balanced Signal Analog II's. The CVT's are single ended so I'm looking forward to hearing how they change things. Balanced connections cancel much of the 2nd harmonics and going single ended will put that back in the mix.

I've run single ended before with the new pre-amp but only for a couple week or so.

Oh sudden change of heart. No Ben I even visited your site kept an open mind but this forum is nothing short of ridiculous.I have no other name ..have never been here before...I stumbled upon this site because I own Polk HT gear.I have had some pm's from other members that have told me about the bashing going on here for example the emotiv or something of the sort(moderately priced HT amp) not too sure of the name. The Sunfire debacle was another one, that was about the time I joined the forum ...same bashing and ugly words went down
Time for some house cleaning with regards to Polk I would say:rolleyes:

BL'oMe Seafire. You can tell them I said that too. ;)

You are a disgrace to this forum and all things Polk. You have not one ounce of credibility, you contradict yourself many times, you are an obvious troll and an embarrassment to the Polk community. I'd just like to point out to you that the last person to attempt to do what you have done and are doing was banned.

where do people like heiney9 and treitz3 get off assuming these things and posting completey useless post like this!

That's 'cause Tom(treitz3) is a horses ****. If you want to see useless posts, do a thread seach on lightman1. If you want more completly useless information, do search For Jesse(F1nut) and Ben(628705483322Ben.org) or whatever his name is. Why has every thread on here this last week or so turned into a huge ****/whine fest? Is it because I haven't been posting so much lately? Maybe the forums falling out of balance?:p

Well Sh#t, Curt asked for a piece of pie. Anybody want a slice while I'm up?

So let me get this straight? After 190 some posts and suffering a devastating loss to the home team, you decide then to read the forum rules? Do you want me to set up a conference call for you with HQ tomorrow? I'd love to listen in. That would probably be the best entertainment I'll have tomorrow!
