Raife, If you do a 3rd edition to the sda compedium, Please include the SRT system.
    SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

    The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once.

F1nut - I stand corrected. But then again, I don't own them yet. Like calling Obama "Mr. President." I think the SDA 1 C's will sound and perform at a much higher level. You have a strange way of welcoming a new floundering member. Miight I offer a tissue to blow your nose? In 56 years, there are a few things I've learned for the first time. Including the first time I played at Carnegie Hall.

F1nut just needs to read and use the book, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

He is like the moat that surrounds the Polk castle.

Buy those speakers by the way, what ever they are called, you will have fun.

Excellent idea. Bikini models complimenting some full page glossy photos of SDA's, and SRT's would be nice. Yes topless bikini model would be nice very nice. Or maybe reusable bikini stickers so you can dress, and undress them;) This would be handy to keep the book family friendly:)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

If you know how to search the net properly there are 2 places out there that have them for download. I will not say where I found them but I will say that they are available if you look hard enough. Google will not give you the sites if you try that route. Remember that Google actually only indexes a small portion of the web. It is good for finding common things easily but not things that are very hard to locate. For this you must use the force my padawan.;)

I assume there is a copyright. Just like with anything else that is rare or OOP, bid the price of the original up until someone is willing to part with theirs.

I really don't understand why this question keeps coming up since I have expended considerable time and effort posting the vast majority of the Compendium's contents right here on the forum. Schematics, modification tips, series history, etc., are all right here.

I understand the disappointment and frustration of those who missed out on the earlier Compendium printings, but really, minimal effort is required to find just about whatever information one might need from either prior forum posts or member inquiry.:)

    thsmith wrote: »

For soft copy, refer to my answer above. A 3rd edition is certainly possible, but not likely. I don't think people realize how time consuming such a project is. It's not something you can knock out during a few hours on the weekend. That is, not if you don't want it to look like a weekend hack job. Most people don't even want to expend the minimal effort required to look up information on the forum. I'm sure you can understand my reluctance to devote another several months and weeks of part-time effort to publish another one of these.

The only Compendium related projects I have planned are:

    1. Go back through the 1st and 2nd editions to compile errata sheets listing the typos and post those on the forum.

    2. A few rich SDA cultists insisted on hardcover 2nd Editions and I complied with their requests. I'll probably make a hardcover copy of the 2nd Edition for myself, but it's not way up there on my lists of audio projects.
