I agree, that's the only thing I don't like about the Dueland Resistors, but I will probably just leave it, it's been that way for a few years now..
Here ya go Larry, The Red X's (with J5 in place) all connect to pad B and the Red Y's connect to pad G.
Something I plan on doing to my CRS+'s is strip the cabs and take them to a body shop and have them painted a gloss black (Piano Black, no orange peel etc..) then (Hint, Hint) replace that piece off molding below the speaker grills with brushed aluminum of the same shape. If you decide to do the aluminum thing please let me know as I'm having a hard time finding someone who will do this without charging me an arm & leg plus my first born.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
My binding post plates as well as my Neutrik plates..
12 ga #4 Stainless with 3/8 thick delrin on the back side.. -
These Neutrik's are for my Dreadnought, I just put them in to give you an idea.. The Neutrik's for these will be here Monday..

Those look nice. Is it a must to use non-magnetic alloys when making the custom electronic/crossover housings?Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
-
I have wondered the same thing, but I do see where it makes sense in doing so, but at the same time, most all amps, pre amps, CD players, blue ray players etc. have steel housings..

Looking good Larry.Political Correctness'.........defined

I've had the idea to build external crossovers for my office speakers for a while now. One of the reasons being the components I want to use would take up way too much internal volume. I recently sat down to design the box and would love to have them made from aluminum, but may end up making them from MDF. Either way I think it's a good idea that they be non-magnetic.Political Correctness'.........defined

I had some spare 304ss, but held off making my crossover adapters, because machining it or a grind/polish returns it back to its magnetic state. I need to adapt the Erse inductors and will ask how they need to be orientated in my thread when they show up.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

I am loving how the internal wiring harness is looking..

So I made a prototype crossover case that will mount to the stands, wanted to play with the layout with the 16mh inductor, what are your thoughts, back wall or side wall??

Tomorrow I will be making this out of .090 aluminum with a .125 aluminum top..

You'll want it away from the steel frame, and 90 degree opposite from the board inductors on either planeHome Theater/2 Channel:

Is any of it going to be see through? Might be cool to be able to see inside and have it light up or not to show off your work..."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
