Would be nice to find an obscure cast brass emblem, if they existed. The sanded top does match the billet theme, but not going there this time...

Looking forward to hearing the Silver Dragons. They didn't come in 20 and 40uf, so the Black Dragons will be just fine.
Hat's off to @VSAT88 suggestion. These still remain in the XS-8TLs. I tried a Clarity PX and CSA on their
tweeter circuits and could not hear much a difference, just fantastic clarity. I will do the same for these when the time comes.
Went with a 3 ohm wire wound resistor since I deleted the safety polyswitch. Had to mount it this way to keep it off the TL shunt cap cause the leads are short with longer bodies.

Is that a Jantzen or Mundorf resistor?

Green Dragons as VSAT would say....

What are the white inserts called?
If I could find some with threaded bases and pronged inserts would be ideal...

Standoffs.
You can replace with aluminum hex standoffs, which come in various lengths and various male/female versions.Political Correctness'.........defined

You can get standoffs in plastic or brass too. Nobody may see them but you'll know they are there. Available in 4-40, 6-32, 8-32.....
EDIT: Mouser has plastic barbed ones too.

But if they're metal, they could wear thru and short two adjacent traces.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Awesome as always brother! Thank you for the ultimate show and tell!

I've never heard of that happening, but they also sell nylon hex threaded standoffs, so you can sleep better at night.Political Correctness'.........defined

Dave @westmassguy sent M4 size for my stand off XO project for the RTA11 XO. Nylon hex stand off and nylon all thread with stainless M4 pan head machine screw/bolts to connect the stand offs to the binding post spool and XO board to the top of the stand off.

Is it OK to use metric in an older Polk speaker?

I've got some 7C's I ought to get into.

Ordered an M4 kit.
That one that resides right between the 2 large inductors had to be surgically removed.
Will have to get crafty to redo that one. Gorilla glue aint budgin'.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
Settled on X-over bracket design. Ordered some stronger black oxide M4 low-profile button heads. They'll bolt to female end of standoffs thru the thicker acrylic plates and be electrically isolated. Don't trust the 35 y/o pcb coating.
Installing a single stainless barrel nut with copper antiseize and a large solid brass thumb screw for the outside bling...

Boxes say 7C but speakers have what looks like the sl2000 tweeters. Serial numbers of speakers match serial on boxes.
Styrofoam stuck on corners, other wise in nice shape.

The first year the 7C came out, it had the SL1000, then all the ones after that had the SL2000. According to @DeRod the enclosure walls are thicker on the 7C, than the 7B.George / NJ
