Just so everyone knows, I would always honor a sale, if there is an issue with the tubes (of which I was not aware) I have offered to refund the money plus shipping back to me if Dave’s not happy.
Joe my Brah! No worries my friend! I know you're an honorable guy.
Hey still checking the tubes out, I'll let ya know. So that's why I haven't replied yet. Only have less than an hour on em with the VTL.
I do apologize if no response was interpreted as if there was an issue!
And yes I'm a tube newbie, so still going through the learning process.
And yes I'm happy! Happy to regard you as my friend!

I unplugged my gear and tore it all down and got it all boxed up!
Dialing in the subs right now and then going to be doing the same tomorrow myself.
Ryan, I will help redial them in for the show. Acoustics will be COMPLETELY different there.

In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

Installed a Lumin X1, but something isn’t right. The app sees all the songs, but they don’t play. It goes to the song, the title displays on the X1, then it goes to the next song, title displays, then goes to the next track. I had this issue once with my S1, but I forgot how I fixed it. Oh well, the S1 is working one more day.

Lumin and Pass Labs don't work well together. Send that junk to me and get yourself some Emotiva gear and everything will work just fine.
Yes. Simplicity succeeds, complexity fails.

Just getting a baseline as these are my subs for the bar surround system. I am not bringing the Epik Legend this year. A pair of Dayton Reference 8" subs in folded horns tuned to 27hz.

Replaced the power switch on my Acurus A80. These DPST switches have been known to burn out (neon indicator light) after some time. Acurus did offer a replacement, but that ended quite a few years ago according to them. That switch is not in production anymore. Original switch:
Found a replacement, that is also illuminated. The challenge was to find one that required 110v for the light. Most nowadays are LED.
Installed, works great, and, I dare say, retains the Acurus aesthetic!

For you Verb, the question is not what did you do, but what didn’t you do to your stereo today.
I can see Verb working on a discussion similar to the one in Audiogon that the guy talks about every amp he has ever owned. Verb's discussion will be about every piece of equipment he currently owns. Maybe he needs his personal "What did Verb do to his stereo rigs today?". (We wouldn't kid with you if you were not liked.)

Finally cut down my speaker bases closer to the size of the speakers, and added rubber feet. This gives an additional 2 1/2" of height. Total speaker height now is 44". Much better, and puts tweeters on ear axis.

Can't offer anything on Magnetic Confusion (sounds like a phrase/ from a Jimi Hendrix song). There are certainly discontinuities in ordinary drawn wire conductors, but whether they matter in the real world -- who knows?

That's a pretty big room. I'd thought that LSiM would have sounded better or fill the space with sound more effectively.

What are "Transient Intermodulation Distortion", "Magnetic Confusion", and "Grain-Junction Discontinuities" other than marketing buzzwords?
Tranisent IM distortion is a real thing -- it was a big deal in the 1980s; harman/kardon (Matti Otala) focused on bandwidth and phase linearity to minimize TIM as it was known.
