Tesla has grabbed headlines for innovating electric cars and driverless technology. Companies such [as] Toyota, GM and Mercedes may not have the trendy cache[t] of Tesla, but they do have deep pockets.
Heh. two typos in that synopsis from the NPR website. I thought that NPR hired English Majors?!
The Russians appear to be jumping on the EV bandwagon. Their famous design engineer, Petrov Teslakov (designer of the world class Lada) has rolled out a new concept vehicle that's almost guaranteed to take the EV minions by storm !

My 59 Bel-Air. 383 stroker, replaced the old tired 283. 12:1 compression ratio, loves drinking 100+ octane racing fuel.

I found it interesting on the old cars when the alternator went out, there was still enough juice in the 12v battery to get me about 5 or 6 miles with the headlights on, yet today’s hybrids will only get you no more than 50, and they have all that expensive tech crap under the hood.
The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, TriangleArt Reference SE with Pass Labs Xono Phono Preamp, Walker Precision Motor Drive, ClearAudio Goldfinger Diamond v2 cartridge and Origin Conquerer Mk3c tonearm, Polk Audio "Signature" Reference Series 1.2TL with complete mods, Pass Labs X0.2 three chassis preamp, PS Audio PerfectWave DAC MkII, Pioneer Elite SC-65, Oppo UDP-205 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk audio AB700/800 "in-wall" surrounds.

It was a stupid race. They had a GS Vette, instead of a Z06?
And why the hell did have a Cayman AND 911 Turbo S?
Because everybody is keeping their money in the Cayman Islands ever since 9/11.
Coincidence? I think not.
