As far as I am concerned, you are more of a troll then many out there with your constant kid comments! The only time you made sense on what I actually read from you, was your first few posts (suggestions) on this thread which I might add you have been bashed for! Since then, you do not stand like a man should as that I know of, you simply have been sucking on the crowd to be accepted! YOU SIR don't have much of my respect so far as personally, I prefer a MAN that will stand for his opinions ratter than suck the crowd!!! Respect always start by self!!!

    Cheers :)
Am I being childish? Perhaps, but if I grow up I cease being able to be a Toys-R-Us kid, and that would totaly blow. As far as the personnal crap goes, I respect your opinion, however I must point out that the force is my ally and I am man enough to take all you can toss my way. If you have any more garbage to toss on my lawn, please do so. Cheers!:)
(F1-nut)TECHNOKID, it's occured to more than myself that LV is actually a long time member having a little fun. I/we could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Yes, my master. This is your bidding. (Breathing, breathing, cough, cough) Flem!
this is to funny... but at my expense? Keiko, that was a smoking shot of you in the bikini. I would ask if you would like to see my lightsaber, but fear such a comment would be taken the wrong way by the multitudes...

Hey brother Rich. You're another one that transfers vinyl to CD. They sound so much better meza thinks. ;)

Hey brother Mike! Yes, I still do vinyl to CD. Vinyl outnumbers CD's here. My work environment is too harsh to set up vinyl, so I burn some titles I have to CD for work/car. I am still using the free Audacity software. Only thing I sprang for was ClickRepair ($40). It helps quiet up the not in best condition LP's. Digital seems to enhance them pops and clicks. As long as one doesn't max out the settings in CR, dynamics do not suffer. Of course it adds time to the process, especially if you reverse the track before running ClickRepair. Reversing the track helps preserve strong transients by not exciting the click algorithm.

Victor, soon then! After Mothers Day.

Are you using for Mac or PC?

I'm a PC. Upstairs, I use the wifes laptop with my main system via tape outs on the pre amp. Downstairs, I have an old gaming PC. Vinyl playback downstairs is with a Yamaha YP-D10 table with AT440MLa cartridge, via tape outs of a Yamaha intergrated. The D10 is direct drive, servo controlled, adjustable VTA. It is a fine table that more than holds its own today. http://www.thevintageknob.org/YAMAHA/YPD10/YPD10.html

ClickRepair had more options and was easier to use than the one built into Audacity. Could be the newer versions of Audacity click repair are better/easier, but I never checked since I have the ClickRepair.

Sent you a PM. ClickRepair is better than what Audacity has to offer. For the occasional click/pop Audacity is fine, but if the LP has a lot of surface noise, the click removal is useless.

That's a nice Yammie table. You know you're like some High School hottie teasing me when you show off this vintage Yamaha stuff. I begin to drool and then lose all self control. Shame on you Rich. :p;)

I'm feelin' very old. When my kids were young and started to systematically trash my rig, it was time to put things away for ... a while. I have a lot of preserved vinyl that was played only once or twice. The first pass through was to clear the grooves of any factory "crap" and the second was to record to tape.

Cool to learn that technology has caught up eliminate pops and clicks. During my "day" pop and click eliminators were $500 devices that you run the LP though ... with limited success. Anybody remember those?
