Quite the contrary, and you would not be suggesting such a thing if you read a few other threads more carefully. It is not what you did, IMO, but how you did it (elitist and dismissive). Your own point of view was not rejected AFIK as "obivious rubbish from somebody that clearly knows nothing and only owns cheap gear" in the way you seemed to be doing with cnh.

Oh well. Neither decision seems warranted IMO, but if that is your reaction to a little chiding, which you may have brought upon yourself, and despite other respected Club Members suggesting you hang around a while, then perhaps it is for the best after all.

My mistake was interjecting another point of view which appears is not acceptable here. It was not my intention to come across as "elitist or dismissive", it's hard to potray tone with written text. Howeve, I now realize that it's not welcome and I'm gladly going to move on and away.

My response to F1nut stands and I hope my request to the admins to remove my account is followed through.

It's funny though, that a pair of Polk speakers my uncle had a long time ago is what first got me interested in this audio world.
If you have a genuine interest in hanging around and/or Polk speakers, then you can still redeem yourself if you try hard enough IMO, but you don't seem to be trying very hard thus far ...

The majority of folk's who are new to a board try to ease their way into that particular forum's culture before spewing off at the keyboard. Here if one does, one WILL get hazed, but if one has thick skin and can show that they can contribute without pitching a hissy fit, they eventually find this place to be the best board around. Though there are close to 62k "members", it's a community of a few hundred.

Jesse can be one of THE most helpful and friendly people in CP, but he will put one through he gauntlet to prove one's worth when he feels the need or just get's that gut feeling that a troll has arrived. I for one am grateful that he does, because I'm not that patient and would get banned.

Too true. I caught some crap for a little post called "Fancy Pants Forums" although I seemed to redeem myself after a couple of weeks and this ad :

If you take some time to try get a feel for this place, you'll find it's pretty cool with some very interesting members and views. Hell, I'm still a newb but I feel a little more at home every day.

I have oft wondered which would prove victorious in a battle to the death - the valiant sea otter or the kingly lemur.

You know who would best those valiant contenders ? The adult star-nosed mole, that's who !!

This tough little buggar is better known on the streets as the Brittany Spears mole.

By the way, my favorite cheesecake is Ricotta, and nobody makes it like an Italian restaurant somewhere in VA. I'll have to ask Mark the name of it.

If by "cheesecake" you mean "lasagna", I'll have to agree with you, Ms. Cfrizz.

Yes, F1 could be considered persistent.
They said the same thing, BTW, about William Tecumseh Sherman on his meander to the sea. :)
That's one of the things that got him elected President of Club Polk, though.

It's a trilogy, like the Lord of the Rings. After that, all the self-appointed experts will add extra reference material of the before and after periods, including detailed illustrations of everyone and everything, real or imagined ... and then there'll be the movie, of course ...

    Why is that ironic?

Okay, to continue from eariler...I have now installed the XPA-3 and listened to some music only, no movies yet. Being new at using an amp, (only used receivers in the past) can someone tell me what to look for exactly?? I put in a 2 channel sacd and started it. I at first thought I had done something wrong since I have my system set up to not use a sub with 2 channel - the bass was much more than I normally had?? I got up and checked my subs....none were playing. So I certainly do have more bass coming out of the rt55i's than I thought was pssible?? I have listed most of my equip in my signature so you can see, I really don't have high end stuff..From what little I have got to play with my system since I got the amp it would seem like a big step up for me!! Hopefully I will get to work with it some more this week-end and watch a movie also.

Please, if there are things I should check for, let me know. I am new at this and have 30 days to change my mind and send it back...

Do you actually think you're going to get help at this point in this thread?!?! Good luck!:)
I've actually been meaning to read through this whole thing myself, although I can't figure out why...
For the record, I've read parts of pages 1, 2, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, and 25. I think that tonight it would be a good idea to grab a six-pack and begin working my way through here from the beginning, so that I can completely and thoroughly understand the true meaning. Guy's please don't keep making this thread longer, as I'm already so far behind, I'm not sure I'll ever catch up, and then, what would I do? Where would I be?:(

P.S. This also represents my humble contribution toward the march to the big one-triple-oh!

If you start a new thread on an existing topic you get chastised...so I try to do the right thing and it's wrong...Oh well,,,,onward toward the big 4 digit thread...just maybe I will get some advise or slammed - time will tell. If we limit our posts to 4 words we will get ther quicker??
