$1.85 for 87 octane Milwaukee WI.

Anyone here use e85 for their vehicle. My truck has the flex fuel system which allows me to use it but I never have. I think the e85 is about 15 cents cheaper?

E85 is a joke and should be removed from all gas stations...............barrel of oil should be below $50 before weeks end............

I wouldn't say it is a joke, but marketing has gotten the best of things. Despite the fact that it is better for the environment we don't have good reason to actually use it.

E85 has 85% of the energy per gallon as regular gasoline (which is the major reason you get worse gas mileage). So... 15% less enery and 10% (if you are lucky) less cost per gallon. Those numbers don't add up and you end up paying more per mile for the E85.

The price of E85 follows gasoline up and down around that 10% less mark I believe. Seems to me they would boost their demand if they charged 20% less so that we go some benefit (more miles per dollar). I have no idea what profit margins they are opperating at though, but I'm guessing theres some money in it.

What really sucks is having a 1/3 of a tank ....seeing 1.99 gas here in town....driving to trubluluc's house to pick up his RT55's...then to the airport as the 1/3 tank is now you better put some in or you are walking...and the stations by the airport in san jose are at 2.42 a gallon

For the first time I let it go until the fuel light came on ( Hey I know it works now ) ...those were regular prices just for comparison...I actually need at least mid and paid 2.07 in south san jose on the way home :)
