$1.98 last night. So it has dropped $2.00 in what, two months? Crude price has not gone down 50%, has it? Workers at the refineries have not reduced their salaries, have they? Transportation any cheaper (excluding gas costs)? So why isn't everyone in the supply chain going bankrupt???? Did I hear speculation????:confused::rolleyes:

$2.15 here in Chattanooga with the lowest being $2.05 in one of the suburbs otuside of town. Gawdamighty how I hope this holds up! Only took $30 to fill up my trusty little Honda Accord. Was getting sick to my stomach cranking out $55 a fill up before! Especially when I fill up a minimum of 4-5 times a month! That adds up!

Anyone questioning WHY? Why the prices are dropping? Is the War over? Has the impact of the storms been fixed? Have our relations with foreign exporters been resolved? Have we tapped our own resorses? WHAT'S CHANGED TO BRING THIS ABOUT?

Answer -- NOTHING!!! It's an arbitrary pricing system. Exxon Mobile just posted over 14 Billion dollars worth of Profit for the last quarter. Jesus....talk about blood money.

Exxon also paid $35+ billion in taxes, are a world wide company, controls a tiny fraction of the world's oil along with several other companies and countries, has only a small minority of their profits actually coming from gasoline and their profit margin is still smaller than that of Avon!! No black helicopters here.

The economy is down and so is demand. The summer is over and everybody is driving less and driving hybrids now. There is more and more support for domestic drilling and alternative energy sources and Congress has recently lifted its ban on drilling and the war in Iraq is winding down with a pretty optimistic outlook. No surprise the price is going down.

It was glorious!!! To HELL with Georgia!!!

FWIW, Tucson has gone from the cheapest in the nation during the summer to, what seems, a bit above average. It dropped to $2.45 this weekend, I believe.

I've been very pleasantly surprised with Tech's efforts this year as well. I would have been satisfied with 6-3 at this point in the season. Thing is that we had our chances to win those 2 games we lost. nobody has smoked us or anything.

Very surprising that UGA and laid those enormous eggs in the big games thsi year. Very un-Richt-like.
