Golf is a sport...and the better the athlete...the better they are at golf. There is a reason lots of former professional athletes excell at golf in their life after pro ball. It's called athleticism.

"Football is easy compared to golf" a quote from none other than Jerry Rice.

I enjoy playing golf and I respect the skill set needed to excel at it. But it's a game, not a sport.

It's just becoming entertainment and a joke at this point. Besides, every time I hear or turn on the news, it's plastered with Tiger news. Hard to get away from it.

Having to hear it while flipping through the news is one thing, discussing it online is another altogether. No big deal, I guess I've just got less of the 'feminine' side :D

I'm not sure if we've discussed this before, but don't recall it, so here goes.

Is there really any questions that he's the best in golf right now? I know plenty of people don't like him for various reasons, but I've not yet heard a convincing argument that he's not the best player today.

So then, what about the best golfer of all time?

What about the most dominant person in their respective sport today, and of all time?

I wonder what it's like waking up every morning knowing "I'm the best person in the world at what I do. There are 6 billion people on Earth, and I'm better at my profession that every single one of them"? I'm not saying that's the first thought that runs through his mind, but still, how many other people in sports, or any other profession for that matter, can claim that?

he comes across as a decent enough guy, probably an **** in real life though.

Still, I've always been a fan, but don't know how I can basically loathe the Patriots, Yankees, and Lakers for the same reasons I like him. That's a fair question, I don't have a good answer at the moment.

    Thoughts?

Tiger comes across as a gentleman and a gifted guy. What's all the fuss about his little extra curriculum ? He's my boy and it's no doubt that he is one of the best one out there.

Confucius once said : " The man with a hard D*** has no conciousness. " Go figure.

True, but on the other hand probably 5,999,000,000 have never tried golf.

Report: Gatorade drops 'Tiger Focus' drink

Posted at 3:00 PM by Mike Walker | Categories: Tiger Woods

Gatorade pulled the plug on its "Tiger Focus" drink, but the company said the decision was made before Woods was engulfed in scandal after a car accident outside his Orlando home on Nov. 27 and the ensuing allegations of his extramarital affairs, according to CNBC.

Gatorade officials provided a statement to CNBC which says: “We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010. We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon.”

The drink, which Woods was fond of drinking during his media conferences, contained an ingredient said to reduce stress, and the label included an image of Woods's eyes. Although a skeptic would suggest that Gatorade's decision was based on recent events ("Tiger focus" has all sorts of meanings now), CNBC found proof that the decision was made before Woods's accident.

Industry trade Beverage Digest actually reported the discontinuation of the Gatorade Tiger Focus line on Nov. 25, two days before the accident occurred.

To date, none of Woods's sponsors (including Nike, AT&T, Gillette, Accenture and Gatorade parent Pepsi) have severed ties with him over his recent scandal. Woods had lost Buick and American Express as sponsors in the past two years, long before any of his recent problems.

Can't believe the first joke did not appear until page 5...

I think the "count" stands at 9, but that's only if you count the Perkins Pancake House waitress in Orlando... I'm thinkin' no... but at this point counting them is getting old.

I've been waiting all day for another shoe to drop... love child or such. Then I noticed this in the 911 story:
The caller wasn't identified. Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, has a twin sister, but it wasn't clear whether she was at the house.
    Works for me...
    More later,
    Tour...

    C'mon Tiger....step your **** game up.

    Cocktail waitresses?
    Pancake house waitresses?
    Nightclub hostesses?
    **** actresses?

Surely you could have found some very attractive Stanford University, University of Florida, etc., coeds that would have appreciated having their tuition and living expenses paid in exchange for an occasional roll in the sack. Plus, these women, who had plans for a nice career and someday having a nice husband, would have had a VESTED INTEREST in keeping their mouths SHUT.
