When I was in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.... I made the mistake of walking into the wrong side of a Burger King. A few great big Saudi's very quickly (and efficiently) escorted me to the other side to keep the women and their families separate from me.
I apologized for my mistake and understanding that it was an honest mistake they made no hassle of it. However, it was clearly expected that I not repeat the error.

As to inability to give counterpoints... lol... If my counterpoints werent powerful I would have a pack of guys so angry at me that they thread stalk me. Since the main antagonist has now left, I guess this is pointless, but here's my parting question. I would legitimately love to see what I'm missing. :
In all cultures, those in the culture believe that their culture is "correct". Most believe that their culture should be spread across the globe. It's the nature of having a culture that you would think this type of thing.
The culture in question, the Saudi culture, believes women are inferior to men, and treats them like animals or worse (I would never treat an animal as badly as they treat women). They also believe that we (Americans) are heathens, f ollowing a path of sin, and should either believe in their way of life, or die and burn in hell for eternity. I think that's a basic assessment of two very small portions of their culture. But it's their culture, and some in this thread are OK with that, because that's what they believe. You're perfectly willing ot accept atrocities against humans as long as it is OK within that culture. They aren't bigots, that's just their way.
In our (American) culture, conversely, we believe women should be treated as equals to men. That all races and all HUMANS should be treated equal. One thing we may have in COMMON with the Saudi culture is we ALSO think our culture is correct, and that those who torture and murder other humans will die and burn in hell. The difference is, in your view, we're not allowed to think that way. Our cultural views are not valid as a culture; we are just bigots. We should not want to spread our cultural ideals of equality throughout the world; we should in fact not have a cultural identity at all, lest we be considered bigoted, jingoistic neanderthals.
I'm sorry, I have beliefs. I'm willing to say that another culture is WRONG when it comes to crimes against humanity. I'm glad to see that some people are also willing to stand up for such ideals. We're not afraid to look at something that is obviously wrong, and say "hold on a second... that's not right."
