Can you install the LiveUpdate 3.1 (symantec Corporation) and Symantec AntiVirus? You'll probably have to do it in a certain order, so if one way doesn't work, I'd try the other one.

I'm sure they're not causing any problems at all, but if you want to, I can't see any bad effects from uninstalling:
    HP Help and Support
HP Software Update (might wanna keep that one though, so it'll keep your HP drivers and software up to date)
    HP User Guides 0001

Yes, that's the HP bloatware I was talking about.

Nope, LiveUpdate and Symantec AntiVirus both cannot be uninstalled.

Dangit. I know it's not the way to do it, but if it were my laptop I'd just go to Program Files, find the Symantec/Norton/AntiVirus folder and delete them.

Actually, I'd pop in my Windows XP Pro CD I bought from school and reformat the dern thing.

Do you really think this calls for a reformat? I mean my system isn't loaded with THAT much stuff, except for the HP bloatware/junk.

I personally would, 'cause I'd much rather run AdAware, Spybot, and AVG instead of that Symantec stuff.

Do you have to? No. Uninstalling and reinstalling IE6 from that link I gave you may very well solve your problem. Then again, just switching to Mozilla Firefox (it's great!) probably will, too.

Really depends on what you want at this point.

Oh, and, again...about those screenshots... :)

Oops, about the screenshots I am using Print Scr for the desktop shots and Alt+Print Scr for the window shots (just so that the window fills the entire shot), paste it into Paint, but I don't compress it in paint.

Then I use Microsoft Office Picture manager to compress the shots (much better than Paint) into smaller JPEGs.

    Thanks.

I can't even get my list of programs on one screen. So how would you handle that? Is there a way to get it all in one screenshot?

If you have Office 2003 Pro (I think) it's on the second CD. In the Student and Teacher edition, it's on the first and only CD.

Try changing your screen resolution. The higher the resolution, the more you can fit on one page.

For my PC 1280*1024 is more than enough to fit all the programs in Add/Remove Programs.

Can you post a screen shot to explain?

    My screen resolution is 1680x1050 on a 21.6" LCD. :D I don't think that's the problem. :D:D

I'm just saying that I have so many programs installed that they're longer than one window. I was just wondering if there's a way to take a screenshot to include them all so I wouldn't have to take a screenshot, scroll down, and then take another one.

Does the Alt+Print Scrn work better? I find on my computer maximizing the window also helps.

Actually, not so much so. A lot of them are games, Office and Visual C++ are for school, and the rest are pretty much either for the web (AIM, Firefox, MSN Messenger, AVG, etc) or drivers and such.

    Most definitely.

Security is in the lower left hand corner right above the Start menu.

My web stuff is in the upper left corner.

Then my computer utilities along the top.

And my music apps below them.

And all my gaming stuff over towards the right side.

And nothing on the far right to leave room for my buddy list when I dock it.

Nope. I might would enjoy it, though. I'm just not into paying money for games. AA is free, and the others my friend gave to me or gifted to me through Steam. So they're all legit, but I haven't paid for any yet.

I'm DEFINITELY buying Test Drive Unlimited, though, no question about it. And GT Legends would be pretty nice.

How much is WoW? I've seen a few people play...could be fun. But I'm not sure how much I'd like it.
