Hi,

I'm getting this error message on my computer whenever I visit this forum. And then the forum window closes.

Anybody know what might be causing the problem?

I assume you have powered off and back on? If so - try another brower (like firefox or opera) and see if you get a similar error. If they work, reinstall I.E.

Yes, I have powered off and back on to no avail. I'd also like to point out that this does not happen on any other website, only when browsing Club Polk.

    Forum software problem maybe?

It forces me off every time and I have to restart.

    Try this:

    Step 1
On the menu bar, click on 'Tools', then click on ‘Internet Options…’.

    Step 2
In the window that pops up, go to the ‘Advanced Tab’. Scroll down to where it says ‘Browsing’.

    Step 3
Uncheck the check box beside the phrase that says ‘Enable third-party browser extensions’.

Click on OK and restart Internet Explorer.

It also seems that this process is sometimes initiated by recent software or driver installs. Did you install anything recently? If so, you may want to try uninstalling it or going back to a recent restore point.

Did that, but same problem. Also no, I did not install or change anything in the past 3 months on this computer. No new hardware either.

As per going back to a recent restore point, I can't, because apparently System Restore was never enabled on this computer.

I looked at that method, but it only applies to systems with IE7.

That's why I'm still using IE6. Waiting until all the bugs are fixed.

I'm starting to think it's spyware. Attached is the processes that are currently running on my system - I don't see anything suspicious but I'm not 100% sure these days.

What's weird is that I have a CPU Usage of 10% when the system is idle.

I don't have a nVidia graphics card on my laptop, only an Intel GMA915 onboard graphics.

Wait - all of a sudden I have a LOAD of processes running on my system, that weren't running before!

Somethings up. This might sound odd, but there doesnt seem to be enough precesses running.

IE7 is working great, I suggest getting it.

Under the visual effect tab...check off..let windows choose what best.

But I have been using IE7 for months now without a glitch. Just keep it up to date.
