I called the ESA in Bloomington (1805 S Veterans Parkway) direct at 309-662-8533 for reservations and got the same rate as going through hotels.com.

What time are you planning on leaving? Many of the Interstates around here are a mess with construction. I355 and I55 can be awful by me. Southbound I55 is a parking lot on a weekday from 5PM to 7PM just after I355.

Just booked a hotel a little nearer Chicago so that we have less distance to travel into the city for some sightseeing.
We're going to hit the road hopefully by 2pm. I work till 1, so it'll be a matter of getting home, picking up the Mrs, and getting rolling. Probably have to stop for a bite somewhere along the line. I haven't plotted out our drive, but I think we'll be taking 94 to 90? I'll have to check...

    Only 5 days to go!!!!!!!!

Halo, I need to know what you want me to bring...though I think I see it on the rig list.....but just to make sure. The Belles will not make the trip :( It suddenly started getting VERY hot, so I talked with Dave Belles and will send it back tomorrow.

I'll probably head west around 3:30-4:00 pm on Friday :D:D:D

:) I have sooo much stuff to get done around here, it's not even funny! On top of things I have my VA appts all week.

I have yet to stain the deck, hopefully I can squeeze it in on Wednesday morning and put a second coat on that afternoon. Should be good and dry for heavy traffic on Friday.

Can't wait to hear all this gear...

    Mike:)

What? You mean Victor was joking about the Polk Audio Blimp visible for 100 miles tethered to your house? :D

I have a van reserved to cart the large box stuff down. That should allow room in Victor and Greg's cars for munchies to eat on the way down to Bloomington.:D

I guess we are going to hook up at my place and caravan down Friday morning. I'll drive between them so they can wake me up if I nod off.... :D

That's the plan, cept fer the noddin' off part. A pair o lil ol hyundais ain't no match for a big truck! We'll have to pump caffine directly into yer veins!!

We've been looking forward to this! Jesse you'll have to stop by some time this summer :)

What do you mean Carl? You ain't gonna be there?!? Aww maaan! Unfortunately Norm can't make it either but he has allowed us the use of some of his gear.

In case you guys didn't notice it in the official thread I think it'd be really  if you could send a note of thanks to both Frank @ Signal Cable & Normanality for their "donations" to our GTG :)

I won't get there until Saturday morn. and after the crappy assed day I had at work I hope to get things wrapped up this week or I might have to work on Saturday   . Keep me on the "yes, I'm coming" . But I have a sick feeling the bomb will drop mid-week and I *might* (god I hope not) have to just make other arrangements. Like perhaps not coming until late Saturday afternoon/evening. I'm only 2 hours away. I normally never work Saturday's but we are falling behind and that's the only time I have to catch up.

    Stay tuned..................

One of the things I'm looking forward to is to hear the LSi line....

Victor, I don't see too many amps for rigs 2/3.....and I'm sorry the Belles had to go back for service......should I take one or two TAD-60"s?

eh....Lsi's are way overated....don't you read this board

No 'effing way are they overated. You're in for a treat Ricardo, the LSi's are sweet.

I was personally hoping for some more SDA's. My brother had really never heard a pair and was wondering if they were going to be well represented. I know they are a huge PITA to transport.

That's what I'm talking about :D  :) . Looks like some late nights this week so I don't have to work on Saturday. If nothing else I could put in a few hours Sunday evening when I get back into town.

I was under the impression that you were bringing:

NAD pre, CinePro amp, RTi6's, and the LSi 7's.

Some gear lists I received were kind of vague:

So, if you are planning to attend and you don't see your gear in the list let me know so I can correct it.

I have McLoki down for the LSi 7's & heiney9 for the LSi9's.

I'll bring the AR-2ax's if at all possible but can't guarantee they'll be there.

That goes for us too. Got tickets to the cross town classic (before the date change) for Sunday afternoon. Greg might stay through Sunday - he hasn't decided yet.

I wasn't aware I was bringing my 9's, not that it's out of the question. I assumed (wrongly I guess) that Mike (the host) had a pair or someone else was bringing them. I was planning on bringing my recently modded 5b's. If no one closer can provide 9's I can probably load mine up, just hadn't anticipated it. Perhaps I did voluteer them last year :) and forgot.

I'm so bummed that I can't make it now.

I feasibly could, as I'll be in Chicago, but won't be in till late Friday. I was going to come by Sat evening and spend all day Sunday doing things around the city with the wife. But I couldn't get Monday morning off, so we have to hit the road Sunday around 2pm. :\

Sorry guys. Was looking forward to meeting all of you, but it looks like I'll have to wait till '08.

I looks like the Preamp list consists of mostly tubes. My Nakamichi CA5 is just sitting on my coffee table right now. Is anyone interested in hearing it? Its nothing exotic and also reasonably priced, but made very solid with very nice components. I much preferred it's sound over Parasound SS and Audcom tubes.
