Here I am 45 minutes until departure or so and I'm making a demo disc. Wouldn't you think I would have done this a month ago?:( Getting psyched because this demo is awesome for SDA listening. It's the same demo I used to use when I sold SDA's way back when.

    See you soon.....Woo Hoo

We just had one incident (that I know of...) Some sparks were seen but nothing was damaged ;)

It was another great day today; lots of shoot outs..LSi9's vs LSi7's, LSi9's vs LSi15's, LSi15's vs SDA 1C's, LSi15's vs Von Schweikert VR2's....
We compared the Sony Modwright universal player with the Raysonic; Modwright owners said it sounds better....but for some strange reason we heard the Raysonic all day:rolleyes:  :p:p;)

Doug (dkg999) brought a pair of Monitor 10's with the silk tweeters that not only sound great, but they look absolutely brand new; not one scratch on them.

Thanks again to Mike and Annie for having us. They put up with us and fed us; great hosts.

Thanks to Frank for the cables; everyone got something.

Thanks to Rich (Scompracer) for being the "official" installer; great job. Victor's wife came in a close second :)

I won the Isonic...thanks to Polk; it will go to my daughter's room.

All in all a wonderful experience. Pictures coming soon.

    Yea , what Htrookie said.

Great day. I heard some wild stuff. The SDA's about made me cry. The V2's were stellar and I think the lsi15's can hold their own against some pretty stiff competition. Mikes Home Theater demo was breathtaking. We listened to Blackhawk Down and Flight of the Phoenix at bonecrushing levels:D WOW. Let me say that agian, WOW.

Thanks to Mike and Annie, although Mike is a little scary. Let me put it this way, If you are ever about to go to war make damn sure Mike is on your side;) there is a smiley mike, don't kill me:D

Big thanks to Normanality for the gear, Scompracer for the gear and expertise, Victor and Mrs. Victor for running the show.

And BIG, BIG thanks to Signal Cable and Polk Audio.
Two of the greatest companies on the damn planet.

Norm had warned me not to demo the ModWright 9100 with the 6900 tubes. Too much detail scares the hell out of people at first! :p:D Your Raysonic sounded fantastic Ricardo! And that Cool Blue glow!

What a great time. I have to say it again; Annie and Mike were the most wonderful hostest and host! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to us! Not only does their home theatre SOUND and FEEL awesome (walls vibrate in the entire house) the 50” Panasonic display raises and lowers into the media center via remote control! They have the greatest neighbors too. No cops were called and it was LOUD.

Thanks to Victor and Jessica for handling details!

It was a great time with wonderful Polkies. Thanks go out to all who showed up and all who brought gear! Thanks to Normanality for providing two pairs of speakers and an audio rack!

Opus brought enough beer for 75 people so like good Polkies, we started to drink like 75 people. None of that cheap Edelweiss stuff either! All the top brands!

There was plenty of gear and speakers to hear. Some SDA 1C’s changed hands but remain in the CP family.

Here are some quick pics from the fest before I crash for a day.

Hopefully this will become an annual event. I like pic #6 -- listening to tunes and a glimpse of the world outside through a window. If I won a I-Sonic at PolkFest I'd be suckling on my thumb or something right now. 75 bottles of beer on the wall...

    HOW COULD I FORGET??????

    Must have been the beers.......:o

Mike's HT: I thought my SVS rocked. I hate it when I realize that it can get sooooo much better. ;) I was honestly surprised I did not see any cracked walls or popped drywall nails
Picture quality, picture quality, picture quality. Not only the sound rocks, but the plasma/Blue ray combination is nothing short of breathtaking. You could even watch bad movies and enjoy them. Awesome!!!

Also big thanks to Victor for making this whole thing happen.

    Mike,
Thanks again for the hospitality. Also, thank you for the spinal adjustment. The dual-SVS's were just what it needed. Seriously, man... That is some insane output.

Michele and I had a great time. I especially enjoyed the VR2-LSi15 shootout. The VR2's had a tighter, more controlled bass and more airry highs, but overall to my ears, it was a close match. Half the time I liked the VR2's better and on certain songs, the LSi's. Really, another great example of the Lsi15's fantastic performance at their pricepoint. (VR2's retail and twice the price)

It was also a pleasure to meet such a nice group of people. This forum is truely a special place.
