That sucks. I was looking forward to meeting both of you in person. We made a rookie mistake. Next year(?) will go much smoother. I'd like to say thanks to both of you for all your help. I appreciate it! :)

I have a (?) in the official thread because I won't know until sometime in April if I will be able to attend; seems like I'll need to travel in May, and don't have firm dates yet. I'll do everything I can to be here; I have some influence on the schedule, so I'm 95% sure I will be able to make it....but cannot commit yet.

    Victor,

No worries, if things change....I'll do the best I can to attend but just not looking good in that timeframe.

Anything I can do from my end to help, lemme know.

    Okay, got the PM.

I can't commit to any dates as a stated earlier, and I would just need to drive down and back home again anyways. I didn't realize there was a capacity limit (maybe I didn't read that before). So, in order to allow someone else to get a spot reserved, I'll back out for now. If something opens up around the time of the gathering, then I'll go if I can make it.

No, I know you do, but since space is restricted to a small number of folks I figure I shouldn't be on there when I know I can't commit to anything. :)

Trust me, this kind of schedule sucks for everything, especially vacations. :(

Victor, still checking those dates against my calendar. So far so good.......I think  . Sorry to see so many people having to drop out, was looking forward to meeting some of you. Still plenty of meet-n-greet to go around. Will Polk Paul and AL still be able to make the new dates?

I know, my wife works in retail. Damn near impossible to plan anything unless you do it waaaaay in advance.

A few people are up in the air, including you. I'm not going to 86 anybody until we draw close and I have to or I get a confirmation that they can't make it. :)

It will be a good time :) Like I said before we (Mike & I) made a rookie mistake. :o If everyone can't attend this year I'm hoping there will be a Chicagoland PF '08 to look forward to. I can guarantee it if we win the lottery tomorrow night! ;):D

    on the upcoming fest!

Sorry to hear your Friday off isn't gonna happen.

My Friday the 18th off is based on what happens that week. I'd be working into Saturday morning if things don't go well. As it is, Victor is bringing a stick to poke me with in case I make it Friday and nod off into dreamland. I'll be loading up and leaving right after I get off work Friday morning so no sleepy time. Gonna caffeine up and tough it out.

We have yet to book any hotels, but the wife and I will be heading out Friday afternoon. Probably won't stop by until Saturday, as I'll be quite tired from the 7hr drive, and it will likely be pretty late anyway.
Really looking forward to this, guys! And excited to just roam around Chicago a little bit.
