    Alright!

Since I'm not artisan-able like our resident crossover maestro- draft crossover bracket v1 is done.

    It's utilitarian, but it works.

    - Can install all caps on top. (I think it was F1 and someone else who gave me the idea after I played Twister/Tetris with my Monitor 12 caps.)

    - Resistors and plugs and coils remain on original side.

    - More wiggle room for upgraded coils.

    - Lots of wiggle room for bigger caps.

    - Screws into floor of 1C.

    - Bass coil still attaches to back wall.

It's not fancy, but it should make life easier for me now *and* if I upgrade the coils laters. Plus, it acts as a holder while I solder [laughs].

    5va8ebl8gt5b.jpeg

I remember now! F1 told me I could just drill another hole to adjust alignment of caps, as long as you hit the same trace underneath.

Then, one of you showed me the big 1C cap mounted off its original location.

Those were the things that made me try this.

Well, and Vr3's amazing work and @westmassguy's rebuilds. I think his placement of the big cap was what I'm thinking of up there^

Redesigning the front left corner tonight. I don't like how I slotted the left plug into the brace.

That'll be about 45 minutes of tweaking. Then it takes about 11 hours to print one bracket at draft quality. It doesn't have to be ultra smooth for this application.

Refined v1 should be printed by tomorrow morning.

Then the other by Saturday morning.

Then soldering, mounting, connecting, **** in passives, and bench test #1.

    I'M SO CLOSE!

And totally making Sabrett's-style onions for hotdogs this week. Might be awesome combined with chili and slaw... Then Ima hook up my fancy wheel, pedals, and shifter to Gran Turismo this coming week.

When I was little, I used to eat mayonnaise and sweet relish on my hotdogs. Now, mostly just mustard. I should get fixins for Chicago dogs, too...

How are you doing the red onion sauce?
I would love to have your recipe….

Only way I get a good hot dog here in Laramie is have Sabrett’s ship to us.
We usually stock up on two 5lb packages when we order.

    P_A, where do you live?
    What time’s supper…. 😬

    As recommended to me:

    Olive Oil
    Onions
    Water
    Tomato Paste
    Corn Syrup
    Cornstarch
    Salt
    Red Pepper Flakes
    Vinegar

    Chop and saute onions.
Add water, tomato paste, corn syrup, cornstarch, and salt. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
Add vinegar and simmer for an additional 30 to 45 minutes until the liquid is reduced and thickened.

    @Clipdat

    6 on ps3 and 4

Oh ok, cool. I played a lot of GT5 on PS3, I think that was my favorite. Never got too deep into 6.

Been playing 7 on PS5 but the in-game currency and low reward payouts are kinda stupid. Gameplay is good though. I have the Logitech G29 too but no dedicated seat/wheel stand. Kinda gotta jerry rig it..

Maybe I'll buy a couple copies of 5 and try it.

Rigging = Yeah. I have an old desk (no seat) from an Elementary school to hook things to. It's... kludgy.

I did/do the mod for the sound. The best sounding 1.2TLs don't look factory...eh?

The plugs also turned a mediocre pair of small Polks into incredible sounding near-field monitors...

LMK if you end up getting 7 on PS4 and we'll race.

    Am I missing a style?

I altered v2 of the crossover bracket. I wanted more room for the corner plug, so I cut that section out and put a column between the 2 plugs to just add a little bit of bracing for the board. Probably unnecessary, but I like to over do rather than under do. It's printing now. I'll be able to see if I got the specs right in the morning (I made it 1.5mm wider (due to shrinkage).

I'm pretty excited to see how it works out =)

Those vertical slots are for a resistor close to the edge of the board on the left and a solder point on the right. The solder point one could be 90% smaller, vertically, but I forgot to adjust it before my last print. So... no biggie.
