I remember seeing him on some car modding show where he had one custom built for some event. It was hard to watch. The car was really cool in the end though.

I believe it was West Coast Customs and he had it built with a special place for his golden segway....

Or I think that’s the episode....

Jesse seems impressed. That's enough for me to be intrigued....

I'm not sure impressed is correct. Let's say I didn't find anything objectionable in my short demos. I'll also say there is more to come.

As for the colors, as you can see there are 2 and IMO they look better than the LSiM colors.

If more to come means even nicer towers I'm anxious to see that and I like what I'm seeing in the ones shown. About time!!

For Polk to make a speaker you all want, SDA's with great drivers and crossovers, you wouldn't buy them anyway because they'd be too expensive to make today.

The name of the game is to make money, profit, and you have to sell in volumes to do that. Polk's customer base is not high end buyers. Want a high end speaker ? Plenty of other brands to wet your feet with.

Yep, no one is going to buy 10K SDAs when you can get a pair for less than grand and hot rod them, especially when those hot rodded vintage SDAs would probably be just as good if not better than the new version...

Now I think an updated monitor 7 (and maybe 5) could actually sell, but I still don't think Polk would get the volume they are after...
Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es; Squeezebox Touch with Bolder Power Supply
    Game Room 5.1.4:
Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra

naah, not at all (in terms of "too expensive to make today"), from my perspective, at least -- look as the stuff that is made today. Look at the cheap ELACs, e.g., and see what a few hundred 2019 dollars (way, way inflated compared to 1977 dollars) will buy today. Even the middlin' price ELACs are a pretty meaty for the money:

All this talk about SDA makes me want to puke. Speaker technology has improved since then, get over it.

A lot of people here like what SDA does to the sound stage, get over it.

Of course, when I speak my opinion, some jack-a-s-s has to say I'm a troll.

There are plenty of people here that don't like SDA's, the difference is they recognize that it's not to their taste as opposed to proclaiming they sound like a-s-s and being brash about it.

Well, in this thread you conveniently deleted you were pretty excited over the possibility of new SDAs based on LSiM drivers, ya hypocrite.

Please do tell, how am I being a troll? I've spent more money on loudspeakers than you will in your entire life.

Anyone that types a sentence like that isn't only a troll, but a total dooshbag.

A total dooshbag that "got their money back", sure....but still. :p

You're right, you can't. That car has more GHEYNESS than a 70-80s vehicle. ;)

Just because my observation doesn't align with yours doesn't make me a troll.

MY observation? :p I posted a picture of a troll doll with a pug's face on it. That doesn't even necessarily mean that I was "saying" that you were a troll. And it doesn't mean that I was giving an opinion on vintage SDA's, either.

You should just relax and enjoy yourself here instead of being a butthurt snowflake.

PolkAudioJoJo, you've been nothing but trouble from jump. If you don't stop now I will make sure you are gone. I hope that's clear enough.

Everyone else, let's get back on track.

Really looking forward to seeing, and hearing, one of the two-way bookshelf models when the opportunity presents itself. That's a hot market segment for high value, high performance loudspeakers (IMO, albeit my expertise in modern tastes is a bit limited ;) ).
