A Maser has its attraction. I have not driven one so I don’t know much else about it.
But I believe those type of cars attract the wrong attention. I’m not in the business to look rich.
What you get with me is legitimacy. I am not leveraged nor do I pretend to be something more than I am. I don’t need a fancy car to prove anything to anyone else.
So that’s why I want to stay away from any car that doesn’t appeal to me except on a superficial level.I had a friend in Colorado give the best description of the Ghibli and Quattroporte I have ever heard...
"If you want to look rich for cheap, get the Maserati. If you are rich, you go for the Aston Martin."
I am an FCA group fan but you couldn't pay me to take a Maserati. The Alfa Romeo Giula Quadifoglio would be my passenger car of choice from that conglomerate (or of course the Trackhawk).
That's why I like the Alfa Romeo Giula Quadrifolglio. The average Joe looking at it won't have any clue that it is a 500+hp beast of a sedan with a very fine Italian pedigree.
It looks just the right amount of understated with more than enough to make it a great daily beast of burden. My neighbor's son has one and he is the most unassuming guy in the world.

I too think Lexus would make an excellent choice and seems to fit the criteria you have mentioned while maintaining some practicality. The LS500 styling is really nice, especially in the F Sport trim. The LC500, on the other hand, seems to miss the mark for me. The styling seems awkward to my eye, but YMMV. I'm sure both are a joy to own and drive. -

I know style is subjective, but I'm not liking those rims with such low profile tires. Most people buy a Lexus for isolation and ride quality. If improved handling and braking is the desired goal, a top quality tire would do more for those qualities than rims like that. Also, the brake rotors look tiny and out of character in such large diameter rims. I know black rims are trendy now, and they do help obscure brake pad dust.

My dad's neighbor has a 2019 Jaguar XJR575. That car is so very sexy. It is the Satin Corris Grey with Ivory guts. He has a really nice set of aftermarket wheels on it that actually look really good.
I keep trying to get him to loan it to me for a weekend but he keeps saying no.
