The search for my next car begins...

So, if anyone knows me personally, I’m pretty careful with my money. Some have actually called me cheap.
Next year I will hopefully (fingers crossed, things go well and as planned) God willing, I will have paid off my parents house. This time next year I will have no debt aside from my house mortgage (hoping things go well and I will have my house paid by 2022 right before I turn 40).
So my wife has greenlit the car.
My friends and brothers have some ostentatious plans but I want to be somewhat reasonable.
I don’t need a true family car, I can stick with something that is a little more me. I would need enough room to have Atleast 2 car seats in the rear. I would use it to go to work and the wife would have the minivan when she’s home. She works 4 days a month (every other weekend) so she will take my car and I’ll take the minivan because I’ll have the kids those days.
So this means she needs to be able to drive it. So no stick shifts.
I would like to have a car that is somewhat reliable so no exotics. I would not like an Audi or a BMW.
I had a bad experience at Audi and I will never buy a car from them after they profiled me.
Any thoughts?
4 seater is good. It has to be good enough to be a daily. Budget will top out within any reasonable realm.
Purchase time like 2020. Next year. I want my parents’ house paid first.

Hahaha
No way. Too much and I don’t fit the Bentley persona. And reliability is meh

This looks NICE!
Sorry, I just saw your 2020 purchase time period. Oh well. The Lexus SUVs get great reviews don't they?
Last years model. Maybe you can get a BIG discount on one.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Joey, you have to have some ideas already. What have you been thinking about other than the 2 brands you mentioned that you DON'T want.

This one looks nice.
The chassis is completely new, lots of aluminum. V8, awesome sound. No fake stereo’d noise.

Why no Infiniti? I’ve got 120k on my JX35 and no issues whatsoever. The QX70 would be a top contender for me if I could pull it off.
Cant speak for the Porsche but the Infiniti’s are more fun to drive than MB and Lexus.
Had Infiniti. Back when I was a resident before I was married and before my wife showed me how to properly handle money, I had the nicest car in residency.

Also, Porsche is going to be in the same breadth as Audi so not sure why you’d consider them. MB is insanely expensive to maintain which is the one and only reason my parents got rid of their E class.
I had a 2010 e550 sedan for a bit, it was an awesome experience. The people there are nice, the service people were fantastic. The sales staff were nice.
Reliable for me.
Knock on wood.
The Porsche I have no experience with but my friends say they are quite reliable, which is a reason why you see older ones around.
The sales people and the dealer experience might turn me off....

And savagegeese on YouTube (very good reviewer) looked at the Infiniti Q60 red sport vs the LC500 and no contest. Ah yes
Too bad the road clearance might preclude it from being a daily.
Price is a little up there also. At that price point, my brother says go Mclaren.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
New NSX White
This is for you.
Very nice but that’s a little expensive for a car.
It would have to be absolutely perfect at that price.mdaudioguy wrote: »

If you wanted big, Lexus LX 570. I’m going to pick up a 2015 it’s looking like. It’s the dressier version of the Land Cruiser, and has all the bells and whistles I’d want from a comfort perspective. A gas hog but can go anywhere in style.2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

Frugal? Reliable? Two car seats in the back?
Toyota Camry for the win! Or a Toyota Avalon. Same platform.
Someone driving a Mercedes S Class should also have a butler to drive them around.
