18 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport owner here. Bought new Nov.17, no repairs yet since purchase. Reliability is what I want and that's what I've gotten with Lexus. Also have a 14 RX with 45k and no repairs since purchase Dec.14. It's unacceptable to me to have premature failures as most other brands tend to have. Killer deals out there on used GSF's and LS's.

That’s what I like to hear

    First hand experience!

    Thx for the input

I think Lexus is going to be my stop this time

Joey, all of the 911 body styles have had and have back seats, albeit the seats are best suited for kids and small adults. The Panamera is a four door Porsche.

Thx for the pics! That’s what I wanted to see, kids seats.

    Perfect!

The panamera is the sedan, you are correct. I will look into that. Do you have an idea on reliability and how was maintenance costs on a Pcar

Edmunds has a true cost to own where you can see the consumer reported repairs and maintenance cost over a 5 year span for most model years.

The GSF is a nice car but way too much $$ MSRP wise. Not enough bang for the $$ but used they depriciate pretty good. If ya search one used there are some good deals out there. You'd probably have to travel to find the right one. I bought mine in Texas and live in Illinois.

The Cayenne S might be a good option. Think they can get up to 550 or so HP and plenty of room for the kids. Actually going to test drive one now just for some perspective on the LX 570.

Curious as to why not a Tesla Model S with the package that does 0 to 60 in like 2 seconds??

If you are thinking Porsche, then go for it. In my opinion, the only "true" sports model now is the Cayman. The 911 Carrera has evolved into a sports/luxury model. You should at least drive each Porsche model including the Panamera.

I would not put Porsche and Audi in the same comparison. The only car I have ever seen replaced by a dealer was an Audi that was a lemon.

    sn7qaxs5f0ax.png

I am older now and I drive an Toyota RAV4, but in my younger days, I owned three Porsches all 5-speeds. All of them were great cars, and I do not regret owning them for any reason.

My first one was a Yellow 1976 912E.

The second one was a 1977 Guards Red 911s.

The third one was a 1984 Guards Red 911s Targa with front and rear spoilers. I kept it for about 12 years. The Targa top has no problems. This is how the 84 looked.

    od1f1dx5gmyu.jpg

I had the exact same 1984 Targa. Same color, same whale tail spoiler. Bought it new in '84, sold it in '90. Not one problem during all those years. Loved that car!

Ok, went to the MB and Lexus dealers with my Dad and 2 kids in tow.

What I learned, I have demoted the Lexus RCF, LS500. Also eliminated the E class and CLS class. Surprisingly I did not like the S550 coupe... odd.

And I felt meh about the GSF in person.

What my dad and I decided on is this order:
    1. S63 AMG sedan
    2. MB AMG GT coupe
    3. Lexus LC500 coupe
    4. MB S550 sedan
    5. Lexus LS500 sedan

The surprise was the MB GT.... what a sweet machine

Seriously... go look at that Aston. It is one of the best cars in the world, and essentially a 4 door AM Vanquish. It can be purchased in your price range and beats the Benz soundly in every way and is far more reliable to boot. My wife is in complete agreement that we will NEVER buy another Benz. We have had nothing but trouble from the couple we have had, including not starting and the dealer being unable to resolve it on multiple attempts because they had no fail codes to go by.

My Jag XJ has been a fantastic car as well....
