Have you ever thought about practical weighted against what others will think of you?

I make as much as a third year cardio-vascular. Yet.... I own no home... Have no credit to worry about. My kids have nothing to worry about even though they are doing better than me.
Buy what ever car you want.

I think I waited long enough. This one is my car. I still want to bring the kids around, even if I can’t take all 3. Practically speaking - I bought a minivan and endured many ridiculing for it. I’m proud to drive a minivan, it reminds me of my most important role - a dad.

But now this one is for me.

I can choose to buy a Mclaren but for what? I don’t track, I don’t like to show off. And it only has 2 seats so when am I ever going to be ever able to take Emma out?

So for me, while it’s my car, I would like to enjoy it with my kids so I will need Atleast 2 car seats to fit in the rear as a baseline.

I like the LS500 as it is safe and big and still fun for me.

The LC500 would be awesome but it might be tight in the back.

A GSF would do the trick but it’s so close in price to an LS500 and the straight line speed is nearly identical.

The MB S550 would be nice but I’m not sure if long term reliability is similar to a Lexus (though I’m not sure if a forced induction LS500 would be as reliable as a NA V8 LC500)....

Beyond that, I don’t want a Bentley or an Aston or a BMW or an Audi or a Maserati.

Ferrari and Lambo are out of the question at this stage of the game, so is Mclaren. That would be if I were actually rich.

I have not explored the domestics nor do I know much about Volvo, which is why this thread is fun. I am sure many others have more experience than me.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Carry the family with you and piss off almost all of the other V8 powered SUVs on the planet.

If you are thinking Porsche, then go for it. In my opinion, the only "true" sports model now is the Cayman. The 911 Carrera has evolved into a sports/luxury model. You should at least drive each Porsche model including the Panamera.

I would not put Porsche and Audi in the same comparison. The only car I have ever seen replaced by a dealer was an Audi that was a lemon.

I am older now and I drive an Toyota RAV4, but in my younger days, I owned three Porsches all 5-speeds. All of them were great cars, and I do not regret owning them for any reason.

My first one was a Yellow 1976 912E.

The second one was a 1977 Guards Red 911s.

The third one was a 1984 Guards Red 911s Targa with front and rear spoilers. I kept it for about 12 years. The Targa top has no problems. This is how the 84 looked.

    These are two options

But I think the more I think, the more I like the LS500.

Kids will be comfortable and safe, and I’ll have one quick putt putter.

And by next year the 2018 will be likely high 50s which means more money for audio.

Go drive that Aston first... everybody has an LS, but only secret agents and super villains drive Astons. Either way, every time you drop the little ones off at school, every kid there will know who the cool dad is,..

Joey, all of the 911 body styles have had and have back seats, albeit the seats are best suited for kids and small adults. The Panamera is a four door Porsche.

18 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport owner here. Bought new Nov.17, no repairs yet since purchase. Reliability is what I want and that's what I've gotten with Lexus. Also have a 14 RX with 45k and no repairs since purchase Dec.14. It's unacceptable to me to have premature failures as most other brands tend to have. Killer deals out there on used GSF's and LS's.
