Today in preparation for the arrival of my new Lumin U1 mini streamer I decided that I would take the for sale sign off of my P5 pre and re introduce it to the rack. I connected the Brooklyn DAC+ via the balanced inputs on the P5 and think it is a nice improvement. I'm using the HT bypass on the P5 for 2 channel mode. I'll connect the Lumin to the Brooklyn when it gets here this week.

I likey the synergy of the the DAC with the P5 and the A21. The Ushers create an incredible sound stage experience even in my smallish listening room.

Mikey, I agree. I really like the preamp section on my Stellar Gain cell, it gives the music some punch I've been missing. This preamp/DAC is the best purchase I've made in years, and synergizes great with my A21.

Just bought a Bluesound Node 2i. I'll run it into the Stellar DAC. My Oppo app is running me crazy with lock-ups (Media Control app).

What really made me interested was the fully analog volume gain cell topology. I have been really happy with everything about this unit; both functionally and sound quality wise. If you've been missing that "meat on the bone" sound, this pup will not disappoint.

It’s ability to gingerly produce full range at low levels along with being fully clean all the way up (I go there with the MC cart since the output is so low) is uncanny. Definitely happy with this and it produces great synergy with the Linn’s

Fabbed up an amp cooling system for my stereo rack. My ceiling fan is starting to make grinding sounds so I needed an alternative. This Airplate S3 runs off USB and I have it plugged into the back of the Cambridge Audio 851N so when it gets turned on it's on. I have it set on low which is really quiet and draws cool air from the front.

The Marantz AV8801 I got off Audiogon 7 months ago for $750 was not outputting sound from the front right channel. After doing all the routine trouble shooting of wire switching, replacement, etc., I decided to tap into the right channel of the zone 2 output. Well, that was clumsy at best and limited the sources available. I contacted Marantz, hoping they could help in some way...

While waiting for that help, I read in the manual:

MULTI CH STEREO- This mode is for enjoying stereo sound from all speakers.
The same sound as that from the front speakers (L/R) is played back at the
same level from the surround speakers (L/R) and surround back speakers (L/R).

Well, for my needs that is perfect. I ran a balanced cable from the right surround output to the right channel of my ATI AT543NC.

Problem solved and shopping for a replacement pre-pro can be postponed for another day.

Hooked up some Boston Acoustics CR75s, that should have instantly made me want to go back to my KEFs. And by today, I mean last week... :#

The KEFs aren't going anywhere, but these Bostons are still awesome. Not quite perfectly accurate, or flat, or anything of that nature, but just a fun speaker with a great sound stage. Almost as good as my KEFs in fact, which is saying something because the only better stage I've heard was SDA.

But the key word between these and the KEFs is almost. :)

I took my Parasound 2250 v2 out and packaged it up for shipping to the new owner in Canada.

Decided to pull my subwoofer amp and put it in the place of the Parasound just to see how it sounded. It's a Behringer NX3000. Plenty of power but the highs were shrill. Tons of bass and very tight. Tighter bass than the Parasound but the over all quality really sucked.

After having that fun I returned the NX3000 to the subs and plugged my NAD906 back in. This amp never disappoints. Love it!

Now I'm just waiting for the TFM45 .

Used the digital cable bought from @halo to include the Mydac into the kitchen system. A NAD CD player into an old Proton Radio plus matching Proton speaker. It made a noticeable improvement.

I put the Pioneer DV-47Ai back on the audio rack to fill the space left by the sale of the McCormack amp. Connected it, found my old Herbie's Grungebuster CD mat and gave the Delta Machine double CD a spin. Wow! Sounds fantastic!!
