What did you do to your stereo rig today?

A wallet friendly $5.99 and the "pulsating leds change color" heck what's not to like.
-
Say -- some of those new Macs have color-changing LEDs, too!

In all seriousness, I did not realize that the LED backlight on the volume control changes color until I fired this blighter up. It is really offensive.
I figured this would be a great bench/test amp for the $ if it worked -- so I bought (no kidding) three of them. I figured if one worked, it would still net out to a good deal. So far one out of one tested does work.
I might have to get one of them there $31 preamps -- you know, to give its sound that tube lustre.

Sorry, have not had a chance to do any comparisons yet. Just been breaking in the Cambridge (and the pre) by running the di.fm drum n bass stream to it all day.

How do you think I feel here?!

I'm guessing, by your response(s), that you don't listen to music with your eyes closed.

What I tried to do and what I could do were two different things tonight. Funny thing it's my own damn stupidity that gets in the way sometimes.

Put some new shoes on the Rega

Love the simple elegance of Rega tables. If I ever got TT again, it would likely be the P3.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Source: Rotel CD14MkII CD Player - Speakers: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Moved some plants to each corner. Not sure about it yet.

I like the symmetry
And I love the fact you actually have a rack that is not black or dark stain! Looks great. -

Gotta have plants! They love music too!
Just bought a new Cambridge Audio Azur 851 Pre/DAC/Network Player. Big step up from the B&K Ref 50.

Nothing wrong with some plants, I like the Aesthetics.

Here's one of the rebuilt InfiniTesimals on the left - original on the right. These replacement end-caps are Red Oak. Still have to finish the Black Walnut versions.
Thought I had a bad Watkins woofer when I first tested - it was buzzing. Turned out to be the dust cap had come unglued on one side. Whew! Crisis averted - those things are next to impossible to find.

Didn't know those existed. I didn't know Infinity made grills like those either.

Very nice indeed!
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Thank you. Interestingly enough that rack was mahogany. We kept looking for a new rack, my wife likes the look of this one and we found someone locally who does antiquing to furniture. I think it was 250$ to have it done which beats the price of a new rack. -
This weekend I plan to take the Mirage sub out of the ht set up and place it with the 2Bs in the music area just to see what difference a sub might make. May prompt me to get a more musical sub if I like what I hear.Yep, my name really is Bob.

Mounted my first MC cart today and it was only 1 hour start to finish. The difference was apparent from the very second the needle touched down. I don't have enough time on it yet to say it's better than a cd but the gap has certainly closed a lot if it isn't.
