Of course they're debating it at ASR (where I saw this), but my gut feeling is that there's a causal relationship in these data.

I zoomed 400% and still can't make out what it is. Not enough detail and a bit out of focus.

I think you mean Guano….mhardy6647 wrote: »Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Colonel... that Coca-Cola machine. I want you to shoot the lock off it. There may be some change in there.
Colonel "Bat" Guano: That's private property.
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Colonel! Can you possibly imagine what is going to happen to you, your frame, outlook, way of life, and everything, when they learn that you have obstructed a telephone call to the President of the United States? Can you imagine? Shoot it off! Shoot! With a gun! That's what the bullets are for, you twit!
Colonel "Bat" Guano: Okay. I'm gonna get your money for ya. But if you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you know what's gonna happen to you?
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: What?
Colonel "Bat" Guano: You're gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola company.

Speaking of Ford...
Well -- I had no idea that the genesis of the pickup "truck" was so nuanced!
I guess I should be more tolerant of the Ford Maverick, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda Ridgeline, etc.
https://www.curbsideclassic.com/curbside-classics-american/curbside-classic-1956-ford-f350-with-9-express-bed-yes-express-not-pickup/
1941 Ford half-ton pickup
1941 Ford one-ton express body
I am still gonna be less tolerant of monster pickups with full four-door cabs and "afterthought"-sized beds, though.
I am old, so I've earned my curmudgeon-hood.

ok, one more, then I gotta get to work...

-
Maverick...I love mine. I didn't realize one needs to be "tolerant" to a vehicle that someone else owns and drives. Falls into the nunya category.

NUNYA?? We used to say that back when I was in the AF.....hadn't heard that in forever. We'd say, "Nunya faceballs business"....only we didn't say faceballs

Apparently this wasn't one of the more successful Smirnoff ads of 1973.

So... last night there was supposed to be a pretty good chance of seeing aurora borealis in these parts. On all of the other recent nights with good odds of seeing the aurora, we had cloudy weather. Last night was perfect.
Only problem was -- no aurora, at least that I could see.
Didn't stop me from looking for about an hour, on and off, here and there in the night sky.
Sometimes with a camera and tripod.
