I guess the forum is broken. -

Thanks mhardy for the help.

So... I am not a big Led Zeppelin fan... but mornings like this certainly put me to mind of a certain song by those zany lads...

Could be a Misty Mountain Hop, or maybe Over The Hills And Far Away, or I thought I saw a small Black Dog near the left tree line, or that place could get flooded if The Levee Breaks, and I don't see any pocket change in the picture so I'm sure there's No Quarter...

The black thingies are turkeys.
I was thinkin' Misty Mountain Hop...

Though this is quite funny, your "weiner cutoff" had a more immediate impact...

Where is that? It's nice!
It's my back yard.
The Purple Hays JPG made me laugh so hard that Mrs H, from the kitchen, asked "Are you OK?"... : - )

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

While not as exciting as the pics Rick posts, this is one of my fav car posters in the basement. Hard to take a pic of it without glare.

looks like the soft white underbelly of a stereo SUT (step up transformer) to my semi-trained eye (and semi-savvy brain).

Mr. Hardy is absolutely on top of things. It's a home made SUT. Two speed (low and high) with ground lift and "inny" transformers versus external.

ooh, a two-speed! Gotta clutch, or is it a turbo-hydramatic ; - )
Seriously, what kind of transformers are they?
FWIW -- and not that it's all about me ; - ) -- I've got a nice pair of the Silk (Thailand) SUTs I need to assemble into some sort of permanent enclosure... someday.

Automatic. Powerslide.
I built two. Carl got the Cinemag blues and I picked up some used Cinemag reds.

I am guessing that something to do with turntables lol? Correct?

10 - 4 good buddy. A SUT is one way to convert the very low level signal from a LOMC (low output moving coil cartridge) -- often 100 microvolts or so -- up to the normal (several millivolts) level of a moving magnet (MM) cartridge. The SUT's output can then drive a normal MM phono preamp. As a passive device, the SUT should add no noise when it does so.
The other way to step up the output of a LOMC to drive a normal MM phono preamp is with a so-called "head amp" or "pre-pre amp" (or any phono preamp with adequate gain; typically ca. 60 dB) -- these active devices (e.g., Jim Hagerman's "Piccolo") can be pretty good, but will always add some noise and distortion when they do their job.
A really good pair of SUTs aren't cheap, though.
No free lunch, as always.

Did you take that one with the fog? I'd have that framed and hanging on my wall.
