Erik, I was confused about the same thing. I watched your ATV tour video and saw NUFFIN BUT DIRT! It must of been one of those gotta have it moments.
The land has totally changed since the last 2 monsoons, which have been far above average rainfall totals. It's all grassy and hundreds of mesquite trees cropping up.

The East Bay hills used to do that when we lived in lovely : - P Milpitas in the winter time due to the rains... looked like the Scottish highlands in the January!

Aren't motorcycle tires amazing?
Most of the time! haha. What's funny is, the tires I was running weren't tires I would run in a race because they weren't good enough. But yeah, crazy amount of lean angle and even crazier that the tires grip that much with so little contact patch to the asphalt.
