But why poor so much energy into bashing a company that lots of people seem happy with? What's your real issue? Emotiva's success rubs you the wrong way... how come?

Now that Emotiva is making cables Kex, the easiest way to bump this thread would be to get the crowd you mention above...discussing the pluses and minuses of Emo cables?

    Anyone have any ideas?

I like you. As far as music I like cake, but your comment on pie is disturbing. It goes way deeper than the food.

This thread is getting pretty flacid. :(

I love my Emotiva RPA-2. And you guys all suck for hating on it. ;)

Actually, this thread's made me think of maybe trying another amp just to do a comparo... almost sprung for that guy's Rotel in the FS area. Not enough watts though.

While listening to my system with the patio door open I saw this gihunormous lizard - looked like a baby crocodile to me - he's been hanging around my back yard....we named him Cedric.

He seemed to be crawling to the beat of the smooth jazz coming from my rig...just thought I'd make a tie in to something electronic related and add my bump to this thread.. :D

The speakers are something you don't need, I assume cause you already have some. But, you do need a preamp right?

Yes, but all the 682 preamps they have sent me had some kind of flaw. And I am already broke due to paying for return shipping. I am thinking that maybe I can use the speakers to make a fire and warm me up? (Can't pay for heating because of the damn return shipping).

I've never heard Emotiva so I can't comment to its quality.

I don't blame them for trying to market their product the best way they can. Is it misleading? I'm not going to judge that. Does it work? Obviously since they've generated a buzz on multiple forums.

What do you expect them to do? Put out lukewarm ads like this one?

    BAT products are impeccable.

They can make Emo whine like a cold baby left alone on the front porch.

They will chew up an Emo like a bulldog on a pork chop.

Go Large or Just Go Home.

RT1 note--No Emo owners were harmed by the bulldog, but a few were in fact left out in the cold, on the porch, howling like a bulldog.

How can you even think about comparing BAT with Emotiva ? I would never entertain that idea. BAT is recognized as a symbol of hi-end audio around the world among others such as Audio Research, Krell, Classe just to name a fews. LOL!!!!

Best bang for the buck, maybe. One step above mass low-end entry AVRs, maybe. Not even fair to compare the Emotiva with Para or Rotel.

Come one now . Be real, brother.
