Now that Emotiva is making cables Kex, the easiest way to bump this thread would be to get the crowd you mention above...discussing the pluses and minuses of Emo cables?

    Anyone have any ideas?

You know, I never even thought of that. The beauty of it is they wouldn't even have to wait to own any to voice their opinions, since they like to voice opinions based on junk science anyway. The only problem is they tend to make really ... no, I mean really ... long posts that are exceedingly boring (and yes, I mean really exceedingly). Then I fall asleep on my keyboard and wake up to find that my nose has typed several pages of "ghghghghg" and that Windows gave up in despair with a wmp32.dll error, or some such nonsense.

So, half of me is tempted to jump for joy and shout "bring it on!" with your idea, but the other half thinks it might turn our dream thread into a nightmare.

Just for good measure, though, would you mind insulting Jetmaker737 please? I want to get him all hot and bothered, get his blood boiling!

Actually, Ben, I lied. I don't like the facts to get in the way of the opinions that I voice. In that respect, I'm still just a n00b and a troll. I do like pie, and cake. I want both. Does that make me bi-cake-u-al, or pie-cake-u-al, without ever having known it?! Well, maybe I'll have to come out of the closet now! You've just outed me, dude!

This thread is getting pretty flacid. :(

I love my Emotiva RPA-2. And you guys all suck for hating on it. ;)

Actually, this thread's made me think of maybe trying another amp just to do a comparo... almost sprung for that guy's Rotel in the FS area. Not enough watts though.

We, (in Paris, Tennessee) are just completing "The World's Biggest Fish Fry" week.... I don't recall any pies or cake from fish??

I could suggest it next year if it would attract visitors from here??:D

Check it out!! Ever been to a catfish race?? I think Nascar will still be okay.........................if this ever catches on......well,,,,, it could change the world. BTW, Emo did not sponsor a fish in the race:( (that could be the beginning of the end for them)

Lightdude, sorry I missed you, but I was otherwise engaged when you were posting this. Better late than never however, so: you may indeed, Sir, you may indeed! Let's get some blood boiling, and turn some lights on (red "warning" lights, mostly) like only you know how!

P.S. This is in no way inciting violence!

I already mentioned how it was really not true that I didn't like pie. Nonetheless, I feel the need to point out that pie cannot be properly appreciated when being shoved down one's throat. When consumed under these conditions, many of the intricacies and subtleties of the flavors will not be revealed to the palate, much like drinking wine from the bottle with a straw while riding one's bicycle through rush hour traffic.

I have now been outed, in any case, and feel such a relief from no longer being a closet pie lover, or having to pretend to hate it:

So what were your other reasons for your Emo purchase? And has the problem been solved since the sex re-assignment surgery?:p

Nope, I just use a vibrating d!ldo now, and that keeps everyone happy. I've become quite an expert "manipulator" actually. Joe Blobs are a challenge, however. I wish they'd invent heated d!ldos, and then it might work in the dark, at least, for that most satisfying of applications. I suppose that even then, I'd still have to similate pleasure noises.

Gawd! Can technology not find an answer to this? I bet Emotiva know all the suppliers in China that they could ever need to make this work and get a product to market for a reasonable price. Timlitton could help them with their advertising materials too, I bet.

While listening to my system with the patio door open I saw this gihunormous lizard - looked like a baby crocodile to me - he's been hanging around my back yard....we named him Cedric.

He seemed to be crawling to the beat of the smooth jazz coming from my rig...just thought I'd make a tie in to something electronic related and add my bump to this thread.. :D

I did my best. I threw everything at it, including the kitchen sink, and stopped just short of selling my body for the noble cause.

You were the best hope for salvation in a long while. You came in stomping all over everything like a bull in a china shop, but then you went and calmed down and got religion instead. What can I say, but this thread is very probably ...

Those reference speakers won't work properly without world class cables, so to make things right, they'd have to give you those as well.

Who needs a pre like that POS they never sent him?

Yes, but all the 682 preamps they have sent me had some kind of flaw. And I am already broke due to paying for return shipping. I am thinking that maybe I can use the speakers to make a fire and warm me up? (Can't pay for heating because of the damn return shipping).
