That's funny....when I talked to them they told me they were looking into just that..............selling cables

I did return th XPA-3 amp I tried, liked the Sunfire better. They did actually refund the original freight, so I was only out about $27.00 for the trial.

After reading all this I could never ever buy a Emotiva product. Where there is smoke there is fire and there is a lot of fire with the Emotiva products. I know little about them but I trust the core members here and if they say there is better to be had, I'm with you.

If you have not seen it, don't taint your eyes. There are a few naysayers who can't accept what others have spent and heard with their own ears and saw with their own eyes.

Of coz, it doesn't matter who can hear or not. But it does matter coz the Cable THREAD doesn't has REFERENCE QUALITY like EMOTIVA Thread and NOT DEFINITELY WORLD CLASS, DARE I SAY! :D

I can't believe it! I know that some think I'm an Emotiva hater, but I really am no such thing. This, however is getting ridiculous. When someone suggested "Emotiva Cables", I first thought "don't be stupid", but within a second I found myself thinking "ya know, if they did spearkers, then they could probably do cables too one day, if they thought they could make a buck!", but I did think it might take six months to a year to happen. Not so, it seems. This is just ridiculous. Emotiva seems to think that internet marketing, the "kuul blu" color effects that seem to make some salivate profusely, and playing the "seemingly unlimited specs." game, can sell just about anything ... with a little help and hyperbole from Audioholics "reviews" (the term strikes me as inaccurate in this circumstance).

The worst part (from a human nature standpoint) is that I bet they are right. In a recent exchange on AVS, Emotiva CEO claimed that they have four thousand customers. Let's assume that grows to five thousand this year (I really have no idea). These customers seem to be so captive of the brand, and so dedicated to eating up the marketing blurb that they will consider anything Emotiva does as a gift from God himself.

Well, well, well! There's nothing wrong with a competitive market, I suppose. It just makes prices for the gear we really want and dream about that much cheaper (since they do have to at least seem to be aware that there is a new challenge to be met in the marketplace).

I am still amazed though. Will it be Emotiva condoms and small kithcen appliances next? Why not surge protectors, Emu blu festive lighting ... etc. etc.?

I'm sorry if I offended any Emotiva fans with this post (I truly am), but their sheer marketing nerve has me speechless (it's a good job I'm typing this then, not "speaking" it, isn't it?!). It may be either pure genius, or unadulterated commercial opportunism in it's most basic form.

For someone who has returned almost two hundred units already, with a matching shipping budget, no less, I think that is a rather reckless statement, Sir! I'm beginning to think that you are just milking Emotiva for every penny!

Curt, stop messing around! The year I bought Emotiva, they were sending out mouse pads with their Christmas wishes. You might be well advised to prepare such a mouse pad for all Polkies, before this holiday season, no less, featuring that hairy, ugly bum of yours that has become so famous of late (in various threads). It's the least you could do, instead of wasting your time calling Emotiva.

Hmm...That's a very good point. I'm gonna have to make some calls tomorrow and find out how much it's going to cost me to get a few thousand mouse pads printed up.

I think I might have them make up some coffee mugs with the same picture while I'm at it.

All the active members at Club Polk are getting one, whether you want to or not.

I should quit wasting time posting in this thread...this time could be well spent wearing my Daisy Dukes.

I heard the New EMO Cable can generate electricity on it's own. Just connect one end to the light bulb and see it glows. It actually exhibits the sucking power as any other EMO products and can SUCKS all the energy from the ambient around it.

It's SUCKING POWER ARE AMAZING and you actually got to see it with the light bulb!

I'm not quite sure what, in my post, makes you think I feel threatened. Amused and/or bemused, perhaps even bewildered might be more appropriate terms. Now, on the other hand, what's your issue? What prompted you to come along spouting silly comments?

P.S. With any luck, that was inflamatory enough, because we really need a Seafart type personality to get this thread moving again, and our latest angry voice seems to be just the right type to do it. A timely spark that might yet reignite some enthusiasm for the thread and finally restore the supremacy of the Emotiva Story after all.

You are misreading my intentions. I am pouring "so much energy" into keeping this epic thread in the position of authority that it deserves. I am not bashing at all, I am discussing. I know you own some Emotiva gear, so it may be unpleasant for you to read others' opinions that it may not be all that it is cracked up to be, but, do you know what I really think? Well, if you are happy, forget the naysayers and enjoy it, and don't come to this thread!

However, in the interests of keeping Ricardo's gem thread up on top, I would like you to take all my posts as direct personal insults, get really angry about it, and spout endless garbage about how you have owned every high end amp on the planet and that none of them even come close to the results you have obtained with your Emotiva. Whether this is true or not matters little. Take some example from Seafart, JVC, C3PO and junkjuku (to name but a few): you just need to let it all go, take it personally, and post and post and post. Thank you and please help ... er ... I mean: "eff off you troll"! Now: pour all your energy into that!

P.S. If you are feeling any weakness coming on, or any doubts about Emotiva, just read a few Audioholics reviews, browse the Emotiva Lounge for a bit, and you'll be feeling all perked up all over again, and ready to "have at it"! Thanks again ... er ... I mean: "eff it"!
