    well im no pro,but i got $2000 plus cables for 100 bucks against 12gauge no name brand that i was running before..............and theres a huge difference.
    but im an average blue collar dude,good job,toooooo many bills,would never gotten these cables if my uncle didnt practically give them to me,so keep in mind 99.9 % of people cant afford expensive "audiophile" cables,so they knock 'em!

    Looks like RR has been completely roasted. Has anyone actually heard the this IDS-25? It seems there were lots of visitors at the shows.

    I see the answer to the Cardas question is on the RR wire page.

    If I don?t believe that expensive speaker wire makes an audible difference, why is it used inside the IDS-25 speaker system? The answer is very simple. IDS is out to sell speakers and not everyone believes in ordinary wire. The explanation is the same as what McIntosh found at shows and is described in the section above. Cardas wire does not sound any better but it may help to sell speakers to those who are concerned about wire and are not convinced that ordinary wire is just as good. The increase in cost is negligible compared to the drivers, enclosures and equalizer."

    I don't think he's a genius but I believe him to be a very smart man regardless of the fact we don't see eye to eye on multiple issues. He's far more accomplished in his audio career than pretty much anyone here....no slight, just a factoid.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    For what it's worth, everything on Russell's site is scientifically sound and based on physics. I think that he's coming across as saying that wires don't do anything different when he's actually saying that wires do make a difference, just not for the reasons all the "believers" think they do.
