Yessiree, I finally have a pair coming. They are paid for, just need to find time to go pick them up. Besides Ricardo, has anybody ever heard these? If so, what are your thoughts? Good or bad. Ricardo, yes, you can chime in as well.....

It will probably be between Christmas and the new year that I will have time to go pick them up. I can't freakin' wait!!!

The end result starts with this.......

Sources:
CD - Jolida JD100 with Ei-Gold pin 12AX7's
SACD - Denon 2910 [For SACD on pure direct mode only]
LP - Music Hall MMF-5/Goldring cart./ Joe's "THE" Clamp /Sorbothane risers/The Shark/Nitty Gritty Anniversary Edition in Jatoba finish dual sided RCM.

Amplifier:
Anthem1 tube amp with cap upgrades and a variety of tubes for the flavor of the month

Preamplifier:
Dodd MLP with remote :p

Dedicated line coming shortly [possibly two] with PS Audio outlets. :D Here's a snapshot of Ricardo's speakers in his listening room. The speakers coming to me will be the same wood, finish and build......

    ...and? Do tell.

Good or bad, I don't care. Just hit me with the truth. It's obvious that Ricardo got rid of his, I'm just looking for input.

You can't eat them, your family can't eat them, you can't pay bills with them, and I hear about how bad the economy sucks in your area. Smart move.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. While true, I don't think that was quite the answer he was looking for....

Ben, these were paid for 100% in audio stuff I had hangin' around, not even being used. In other words, I spent not one dime cash out of pocket.

Very nice Tom. Will you be using the VMPS with them, or is it still for sale?

    No, to using the VMPS.

Trey has dibs [believe it or not] on purchasing the VMPS back from me. If he changes his mind? It's yours when and if the time is right for you. ;)

    Congrats!!

edit-This pair intrigues me...a custom made pair of Signature Towers, but with 10" Seas Excel woofers instead of 8".

Tom - I've heard a few Tyler Acoustics loudspeakers and they're pretty nice overall. I found more than a few cabinet issues in regards to finish and quality. That being said, I think the cabinet design, including the internal bracing, is smart and solid.

All the elements of a loudspeaker to slay dragons are present but they never really moved me. There's something missing for me and I would have to get some more headroom to figure it out. Man, that's over a ton of different gear, enviroments, and other associated issues that one can never be sure of this or that.

I'd really like to hear them on my own gear for a reference but am very interested in your observations, since you don't compromise much when it comes to 2CH rigs.

Have fun and it's a visually striking loudspeaker in person, no doubt.

Tom- I have this in the 2 piece version for almost a year now and I love 'em. These have been the first speakers I've owned that do justice to powerful classical music. Now I have to admit that I haven't owned lots of speakers. I had Dynaudio Focus 220's and they sounded too thin for classical, also had Maggies MMG's (awesome with acoustics, but no low bass), Rti10's (too bright for my taste) and Monitor 70's (too much distortion in complex passages and too dark for me).

I find the Linbrooks to be nuetral sounding top to bottom and detailed. They go really low too, no longer need a sub. This is also the first speaker that I don't have any gripes with. I was recently driving them with a tube cdp, tube pre and tube amp and this was a killer combo.

    Congrats on the Linbrooks Tom.

Probably one of very few sales I regretted at some point. Fabulous top to bottom sounding speakers.

Congrats on the speakers. But, I'd have to agree with what Mr. Dorokusai said above. They used all the right stuff to build these speakers but were lacking 'something' when I heard a pair. Still a nice set of speakers. The system I listened to used Ayre Acoustics pre and amps. Nice gear but maybe not what the speakers wanted driving them. I hope these work for you. You can always find the right combination down the road.
