Who else is looking forward to this amazing movie. I just watched 60 minutes and saw what and how they made the movie. Some of the stuff looks amazing not to mention it should be a very cool story line and over all a great movie. Personally I am looking forward to it more than almost any movie.

I missed this on 60 minutes last night due I was mentally preparing myself for the Bears game. Dumb question on this film...is it based on the cartoon at all?

Still doesn't mean we can try to keep things simplified around here. It's a bit easier to discuss a film when only one thread exists unlike 3 for this film now.If...

I do have to say the previews look pretty damn nice for this movie. I'm just hoping the movie itself doesn't disappoint as lately it seems like I love the preview but the movie itself doesn't live up to its hype.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. It takes a pretty big release to get me to spend $10 to see a movie once, so I hope this one delivers.Home TheaterRTiA5 - CSiA6 - FXiA6 - PSW650 - Pioneer Elite SC-55 - Carver AV-505 - Sony 46" 120Hz - Monster HP 2400 - Xbox 360 - Playstation 32 ChannelPolk RTA 15TL - Harman Kardon HK3485 - HK DVD48 - Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables

got two tickets to the 3D showing tomorrow night. I had no idea they charged extra for 3D. $13.50 a ticket!!!! Thankfully Fandango/Visa does B1G1. If you don't go to the movies alot, bookmark this link, get you one B1G1 free movie ticket a month (assuming you have a qualifying visa card).

According to most critics, this appears to be one of the few blockbusters where the trailer actually did a disservice to the movie. Supposedly, it is far better than would be believed from the previews. At least, that's what I keep reading.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

The BEST computer f/x I've ever seen. I regret not seeing the 3D version. Good story. Drags at the beginning as it sets up the storyline.
Very enjoyable. Dare I say epic? Trailer does not do the movie justice. Highly recommended on the big, theatre screen.
Michelle Rodriguez rocks but in a very limited role (I'm rather partial to her ). -
Wow. Epic adventure! I saw it in 3d and it was amazing. I will see again in the theater. Left with a sense of awe.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

It depends how much you believe.
I'm sure it becomes "real" in 3D and copious amounts of hallucinogens.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I saw this last night at the IMAX 3D. The movie was awesome, not just as an action film but as a full blown drama as well. I really enjoyed it. That said, the 3d was fun but I think all the junk jumping out at me and just lenses themselves didn't allow me to focus on the detail of the movie's animated art. I loved it so much that I will probably go see it in the regular theater soon as well. Great movie.

As with Jurassic Park, there are scenes where people and computer animation interact. Technology wise, we are getting closer to the day when you will have a difficult time telling the two apart. Currently, we're limited with "make-believe" alien characters and world such as the ones portrayed in Avator, a CGI Arnold in Terminator Salvation, or a Professor X in Wolverine made younger by CGI. The CGI world in Avator is almost revolutionary when compared to Lucas's last 3 Star Wars flick.
But, I'm not sure people are ready to watch something like The Incredibles with life like environments and CGI human perfected characters or Transformers #27 with a Megan Fox that hasn't aged since the first movie.concealer404 wrote: »I'm sure it becomes "real" in 3D and copious amounts of hallucinogens.
Or with copious amounts of cpu power to process layers, shadows, and texture. -
I'll see this sometime in January when I can enjoy the film and avoid the crowds.If...

Duh. I wasn't paying attention and realize that he would see it in the theater in January. I was thinking BluRay in January. My bad.
I am just so excited for this movie... and I want it to break the record against the stupid New Moon crap that sits in first place all time opening weekend. What a joke.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member
