Hmmmmm. so your issue isn;t with mis-information as it is with other's who chastize fellow enthusiasts.

So when you said mis-information, you really had an axe to grind with certain members here and not so much with the so called mis-information.

Also, if your going to make a very caustic statement, if you want some credibility you should be ready to back it up. Right now it looks like you've got your spoon out and perhaps have already stooped to a level you seem to say you want to avoid.

I replaced the TSI-100's in my business partners studio with a pair of Behringer 2031p's. It was a marked improvement and they even cost a few $$'s less. I like the TSI-100's but they are not the end all.

A 'marked improvement' hmmm... ive never heard anything from behringer that sounded impressive, but then again some people 'actually' like bose and cerwin vega for their qualities, or should i say the lack there of?:D
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Well I then submit that you should give the 2031p's a shot. The sound stage in particular was wider and more revealing. J actually redid a bunch of vocals because he heard some elements exposed that he didn't on the TSI's.

The TSI 100's aren't a bad speaker. But given the price, we felt we did much better.

I don't think any enthusiast audio website is perfect. Do I think it unfair to put bookshelf speakers in ~25X25X8 room and see how they perform? No. most likely there are 10's of thousands of setups like that out there.

You are perfectly welcome to gather your own roundup of speakers and amplification and do a square off in any room of any dimensions you wish. I am excited to see your results.

Do you really want me to go through this forum and find posts with advice that is incorrect? Are you saying this forum and it's members are without fault? Quit reading into my post, I have no axe to grind unlike yourself.

How is it biased:confused::rolleyes: I wanted to see what the buzz was on the the Behringer passive monitors and since I have an Amazon prime account I ordered them. In our opinion they did better.

    Speaking of bias:
I am putting in my fourth all Polk system for a buddy in Vegas. He has ~$1200 to spend (Speakers/Receiver/BR) and my go to speaker is Polk for that price range.

    Matt,

When it comes to choosing new Polk speakers, enjoying Polk speakers and especially restoring vintage Polk speakers, I would categorically state that I have NOT FOUND, as you wrote above, "BAD INFORMATION POSTED HERE BY CLUB POLK MEMBERS".

However, as in most online forums, there are always asinine opinions stated here and there.

Eh.... there's misinformation posted on every forum, this one is no exception.

The difference is that there's forums that are primarily **** (audioholics), and those that actually have a lot of good information (club polk).

Matt seems to come in and say that Club Polk sucks everytime that someone says anything bad about Audioholics. That's about his entire purpose on this forum.

Seems to me that he's the one spreading misinformation.

I would say with items like the AH Article on Visual Acuity and 720/1080 resolutions or something like Infinity Kappa Perfect sub build that AH provides a lot of tangible benefit. Benefit that I haven't seen here at Club Polk. So I can go to AH and get an article on Visual Acuity, or Club Polk and get 'reviewadvertisment' for PS Audio...

Let me say this another way: Polk Forums is the only audio enthusiast website I know of to have people call a great DIY designer like John Krutke a troll. That speaks volumes for the lack of class for the vocal minority here.

Ok.... so if you don't like it, then why hang around? It's that simple. It's plenty good enough for 99% of the people that are here, so that should speak volumes in itself.

Honestly, what's your purpose here? If WE are happy with what WE like and what WE hear....what's your problem with that? It's not like we are going onto your favorite sites and trolling....

Or, perhaps, it's a subjective hobby and that's something that you can't wrap your head around? MAYBE, something that you like....I honestly feel like sounds like crap. It happens. Micah, a hobbit pimp I hold in high regards doesn't like my fave speaker. So what?

Christ, this is tiring. You don't like us. We don't like you. Seeing as that we were her first and we are 'happy' with what/where we are.....it begs a question. WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?

So CNH in post 18 can walk in to a Best Buy and say the TSI 100's trumped everything there in it's bracket. I pick up a pair of Behringer 2031p's that in my opinion did a better job than the TSI 100's and I'm biased and an instigator.

    Based on your past post....yes.

You've got an agenda and all you are here to do is push that agenda. You have no interest in 'discussing' and your mind is probably more closed than anyone else's.

For example....You think tone controls are fantastic. Hey, great for you. There are some that don't agree. You think those people are stupid. That makes YOU as close minded as them....Why? BECAUSE THERE ISN'T A 'RIGHT' ANSWER....something YOU don't get.

Personally, I don't care if you are biased. Everyone has biases.

Now, an instigator....clearly, you are. You enjoy being inflammatory. That makes you pathetic that you have nothing better to do in life. All you crave is attention.....'oh, people are paying attention and reacting to me'. That sort of attention fixation is really pretty pathetic.
