My room is 3072cf and a single Ultra-13 is more than enough.
But like Magasat16 says, you can never have too much GOOD bass!:D

I would think you would need a large room(3750cubic ft or larger)

I have a pair of the rosenut PB13s. I love them dearly...:D I actually prefer the 20 Hz tune for music. I'll occaisionally run the 15 Hz tune. My set up was calibrated in 15Hz tune and gave a veryflat response with useable bass down to about 12 Hz.

Stacked. It gives me a good FR actually. No major peaks or suck-outs. I may try opposite sides of the room though just to see how it sounds.

Here's my FR with the "stack" in 15 Hz tune:

Both the VTF-3HO and SVS PB12-Ultra are excellent. You cant go wrong with either.

You might want to direct your question to Craigsub, as I believe he has tested these subs in an A/B type comparison.

Keep in mind that even if the VTF-3HO edged out the PB12-Ultra, SVS plans to unveil its next-generation subwoofers PB13-Ultra, etc in less than two weeks. If you arent in a rush, and dont mind spending a few hundred more 1200-1400, you might want to consider those too.

The SVS PB-13 Ultra did a great job on the Max Payne Blu-Ray.
The Max Payne disc must have alot of low bass, because the SVS really
    delivered:D:D:D

So did you actually end up trading the Klipsch dual subs for the PB13-U? :)

The better job you do positioning your sub and eqing it before running Audessy the better result you will get out of Audessy.

A lot of people miss this point and think Audessy will fix it, wrong.

I wonder what kind of correctly setup single sub will sound better than duals that are setup correctly.
