If we had an initiation process for newbies, one of the activities would be to read this thread beginning to end. Only the really brave would make it.

I'll just claim that it was touched by Zeus and that it'll kill all others with a lightening bolt if they dare say anything else is better... High end=high and mighty....

Or I'll just take Juju's wisdom and apply it to my add, there we go, best seller the world has ever seen.

After reading parts of this thread I find it kind of funny that people think "some" equipment is high end. Why? Because the manufacture says so? Fools they are.

I have spent what I think is a lot of money making good choices on my equipment/components. It's still not high end!!! It good equipment but not high end and its far far better than any Emotiva equipment. Go figure!!

Oh well, to each their own. But just don't try and tell me or anyone else for that matter that stuff (Emotive) is anywhere close to being high end equipment.

ah yes, good idea. Maybe I should just slap a MBL sticker on the amps and do a double blind testing and then post that no one ever heard an audiable difference between the two so the "fake MBL" (Emotiva) is just as good as the real stuff, and look! your saving soo much money, deal of the century I tell ya, if I was them I would be out on the street telling everyone the wonderful news!

    Oh WTF.

There's a REASON they don't sell these amps for $2000. And it's most definitely not because they're nice guys.

It's because they wouldn't sell. God those forums make my damn brain hurt.

Then I started playing some Smashing Pumpkins, Bach etc and noticed that there was a lot of detail coming out of my speakers.

Holy crap! Detail? Out of your speakers?!?!?! Moron goes on to say that somehow his XPA-2 improved the performance of his powered sub. AMAZING.

Say what you will about Emo, it sells. I sold my Emo amp on A-gon in less than one hour for full asking price which was $100 less than I paid (I had 4 offers) so I have no complaints.

If Emo is that good, has anyone ever do a DBT against other products? Stereophile?

    just sayin'

ps: I have no opinion on Emo, nor bias for or against. To me, REFERENCE is something that I CAN'T afford. Ironic, isn't it? :)

oh I know it sells, I've sold the two amps I did have of theirs in a matter of hours of posting. I have no problems with that. I'm just having a problem finding the mono blocks I want to use to replace the them. Saw some krells on there today that look AWESOME but a little over my budget right now.

I know one Audiogon member bought the Emo for his garage system . It's not bad while you're mowing the lawn and listen to the Emo blasting.

It does not matter who eats whom for lunch. Krell is Krell and Emo is Emo. They are belonged to certain class and status quote.

Yes, I am ashamed to have Emo in my house. I admitted it. I would not buy a chevy Cavalier or a Chevy Malibu which really there is nothing wrong with Chevy but I 'd rather drive the Beamer and so are my sons.
