5 days seems like a very short time period to be making such lofty claims.

I couldn't agree more, hence my comments.

If you'd like, I could give them a call later on. Just to let them know that you won't be purchasing any of their products. I've gotta give them a call anyway, just to let them know that I've decided to purchase products from another company and won't be purchasing anything from them.

That's fine...but they probably won't believe it unless they hear it directly from me...but it's worth a shot.

Well, I tried calling them. As soon as I started explaining to them that neither you or myself would be purchasing any products from them at any point, for any reason, they hung up on me.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My choice to not purchase any Emotiva gear continues.

I would like to thank Ricardo and everyone else above for helping me decide which 2 channel power amp to purchase. I bypassed the Emu farm for an Adcom GFA-555 (N.Pass design). Add me to the no call list.

It's ashamed you did do so CNH. I own two GFA-555s and a GFA-545. I like the way my XPA sounds better than all of them, but that's for me. Sometimes it's best to listen for yourself and see what you like best instead of what others have to say. I wouldn't call myself an Emotiva fanboy or a basher of other equipment. I own other amps and have had them for some time. I have had my Emotiva for three months now and I still like the way it sounds, even compared to other amps out there with more prestiege that I own. I find it ironic that some of the same folks who are ripping this guy for writing a glowing report of a product they don't care for after he listened to it for 5 days, are basing their claims after listining to an Emotiva amp for a weekend. I agree, you can't right an honest and thorough review of a product after only listening for 5 days. But quite honestly some of you formed your opinion about the Emotiva amp after listening to it for a weekend. So how is that any different? It seems to me that's like the pot calling the kettle black. I'm sorry and and I'm putting my flame retarding suit on now, but there has been a lot of double standards going on throughout these posts.

No offense to the Emo crowd above...that quote is a tongue and cheek statement. Of course I spent a lot of time listening and researching this purchase and asking a ton of questions. There are some amp gurus on this site who were incredibly helpful and informative.

And a lot of very happy Emo owners as well. At the very least this thread continues to grow.

I just love how people that have never actually heard the product jump on the bashing bandwagon. That's really lame. I know Kex and maybe just a few may have valid opinions. They have actually experienced the products (not the whole product line however). But the rest of the bashers are just spewing **** they have no actual knowledge of. I havn't tried their products either so I can't praise or bash.

No one I know who's contributed to this thread is 'stopping' anyone from auditioning any and all the equipment which has been discussed here. And I, myself have heard an XP-A2 as well as read reviews of that model. The Emotiva was on the table because of this thread.

You're right. Take a listen and decide. BTW some nice pieces above..I run an Denon AVR 2807 myself.
