What about the poor trumpeter swan that couldn't even get into the musician's union until the trumpet was invented? -
Used to have one car that would have been able to put the smackdown on this track without ever spinning out or launching itself through the air in one of the corners, as long as you had “the touch,” that is.
That room -- needs a cat in it.
Nice floor, too, BTW.

^^^^ IMPRESSIVE!
I know the feeling:
Never enough slot car track, train track, logs, bricks, legos, erector set stuff, ....etc
My favorites were the train track and red bricks.
Can anyone think of other items that fit this pattern?"Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"

Yeah, there was a panel & girder set that was a fave of mine in the mid-60s -- Mrs. H had a set, too.
Both, sadly, no longer in our possession(s).
In all seriousness -- both Mrs. H and I wanted, at one time early in our lives,to be architects.
meanwhile, over at hifihaven -- this rather esoteric Euro-style SE 2A3 mono amp is 4 sale.

I guess the gray ones are for building buildings and the red ones were for making roads and bridges.

Gotta have balls to attend that festival.

@OleBoot, That was a good lead in to a restaurant where you can eat Rocky Mountain Oysters.
If I am in Denver, I go to the BUCKHORN EXCHANGE. I have posted about it previously, and I hope my posting encourages you to visit this place for the first time. I did not find this place on my own, but was introduced to it by some wonderful people in Denver who wished to share it. Truly amazing that this place remains the same. Glance at the history section below and look at the names of the people who have been associated with this extraordinary place throughout its history.
My favorite history item mentioned is a historic moment and most incredible scene recorded in 1938 when Sitting Bull's nephew, Chief Red Cloud, and a delegation of 30 Sioux Blackfeet Indians rode slowly down Osage Street in full battle regalia, and ceremoniously turned over to "Shorty Scout" Zietz the military saber taken from the vanquished General George Custer in the Battle of the Little Big Horn. The sword remains in the Zietz family today.

Do you know how much they sold for?
Tube prices have gone up quite a bit and glad I got my stash when I did.

I know what the asking price was -- didn't seem outrageous to me (although more than I'd pay for a pair of 2A3s that I'd be too afraid to use) -
Why would you be afraid to use them?
