'twas Hayday at our house today.
Since 1994 (when we bought this property), our farmer-neighbors have hayed our back field (which is contiguous to* one of their fields) -- a win-win for both of us.
Today Farmer Steve (who turned 80 this year ) rolled in with one of their big Kubotas and cut the field -- a gorgeous, warm (not hot), dry and sunny day. There's a reason why the old saying goes Make hay while the sun shines. That's the time to do it!
