Polk Forum has a member in the Texas
town. I will not list the username, but if he wants to acknowledge he can.
Guilty as charged.
The Eiffel Tower is located by the convention center. There is also a pretty cool veteran’s memorial there.
As to the other pictures, The Grand Theater is the movie theater I went to as a child/teen. There have been talks of renovation, but nothing official as far as I know.
Sundae in Paris is a great little old fashioned soda shop. Across the street is a good burger joint called Jaxx. More than burgers, but they have some unique burgers that are really good. Eat at Jaxx walk across the street to Sundae in Paris for dessert….then head to my house for some tunes😉
The hat on top of the Eiffel Tower is special!
I love towns that have a personality.
Thanks! I was concerned there could be a Forum Rule for identifying the location of a member.

"No, Irish Times, no!"
If they'd only inverted the y-axis (zero at the top).

If the Olympics had a "pint curl" event the Irish would fare better.

I think you under estimate the Germans Ken....
Either way, pint curls, then "boxing" that should be quite entertaining!! -

Zee Germans drink 1L mugs, not pints!
Overall, we Americans would suffer in this event since our "Pints" are smaller than just about anywhere else. I have a few that were collected from various local beer gardens and I can barely fit 13 oz in them. A 16oz can doesn't fit, even without any foam head. Its pathetic how we get ripped off on $8 pints that are really only 12oz with some foam.
That Pic shows 16oz, but I can tell you, most bars or breweries that I've been to are using undersized glasses. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

I always called them "estate cars". Not as hoity-toity as "shooting brake", although it must have come from the assumption that one did have an estate to drive them around. I indeed did live on an estate - a council estate. -

I would venture that is a German or in some other metric measurement country considering the size of the glass. Most Germans only see litre glasses when they are watching the tourists use them. However, I would concur that the Micks would be masters of this sport given their rate of consumption - even in thimble sized glasses. -

To be clear, a shooting brake is not an estate car or station wagon or avante.
Shooting brake is only used to describe a sports coup with a stretched out roofline. 2-doors, fast, usually a long hood with a big engine.

Ok, I'll defer to Kelley Blue Book over 40 years worth of English colloquialism. -

I'm think this would be a better beer sport

Now there would be a contest, the Irish versus the English versus the German versus the Poles in beer consumption. With only one spot-a-pot available for all.

That is a skill for sure. I've seen that clip before, but today I finally thought about calculating how much that all weighs...
Apparently those dimpled glass steins work out to about 5lbs each when filled with beer. So she is carrying 65+lbs, which I'm guessing is more than half her weight.

Seems like they are expecting trouble with the engine and dash instrumentation.
